Yesterday I was listening to the radio and a commercial break announced a meeting to be held on "our animal brothers and sisters." I thought that was pretty weird. I assume you are not that type of an activist? ;) considering you are a muslim These activists are so strange, they equate human beings, whom God gave specail favor to animals by calling them their brothers and sisters. I mean yeah, we are all Allah's creatures and humans, being the higher species should take care of animals and not abuse them.....but brothers and sisters??? |

NO!!! :) well, I do call my cat my daughter..... lol but thats totally different!! nah... I'm just a "normal" animal rights activist... no cruelty to animals... don't buy clothes from designers that have fur in their collections ( the fur market is so cruel to these animals!!) -- did you know that when you buy like a jacket w/ a fur trimmed collar and the label only says "genuine fur" most likely it is dog or cat fur??!!??! thats disgusting.... I am not a vegetarian though... and the Qur'an says we can eat meat. I only eat halal meat bought from the islamic markets since the animals are to not be treated cruely before and during slaughter unlike the meat markets out there today that do the most henious acts against animals.... oh you would cry if you watched--especially the young calfs used for veal meat--its heartbreaking!!!!!!! that kind of animal rights activist... :) Ameera |

| hey, I love animals too. Especially cows. Chickens are nice too!! my favorite is prime rib. |

[slm] GreenPeace reminds me of a cartoon a used to watch when i was smaller, 'Dennis the mennace' or was it Dennis and mennace?' about that boy with the big black bushy hair and he wears a stripy red and black top, and his dog nasher - :D the good old days!!! lol anyway yea...there was this one series i watched where the Green peace ladies are all dressed in green and they march around Dennis' house sayying 'save the green fleas, please' over and over again! |
