| 12 April 2003: 552 days have passed since America launched its latest Crusade against Islam and its people. A number of Muslim prisoners were captured in this Crusade and taken to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba where their beards were forcibly shaved and they are being held in cages subject to Malaria, heatstroke and other tropical diseases. At least 10 Coalition Soldiers Killed in Mujahideen Missile Attack KABUL (AZZAM): Mujahideen forces unleashed 16 missiles at Khost Airport all of which hit the inner sections of the airport inflicting heavy Coalition casualties. Fear and panic swept across the Coalition ranks as the Mujahideen relentlessly fired one missile after another. At the time of going to press, a confirmed 10 Afghan militia men loyal to Hamid Karzai and on the US pay-roll were killed, although it is suspected that the actual death toll will be considerably higher. Predictably Coalition forces called in warplanes, but the Mujahideen forces managed to make a safe exit. German Consulate Rocked by Explosion PESHAWAR (AZZAM): On Thursday a massive bomb rocked the German Consulate in Kabul killing at least one US soldier and critically injuring two more Afghan militia men who were guarding the German Consulate. The explosion shattered windows of nearby buildings and the injured were taken to the local hospital. Former Taliban Minister Gains Martyrdom KABUL (AZZAM): Former Taliban Minister Amanullah was martyred in an encounter between Taliban Mujahideen and Karzai militia men. Official Afghan television reported that Amanullah was killed in a region some 175km south of Kabul. This state run media also claimed that several other Taliban were killed in the battle, whilst four Afghan soldiers received life threatening injuries. Dostum-Atta Fight Continues FARIYAB (AZZAM): In Memna, the centre of the Afghan province of Fariyab, in-fighting between General Dostum and General Atta's men continues. Both men are Commanders in the so called Northern Alliance. The death toll in this battle has now reached 16, with casualties from both sides. Kabul Police HQ Attacked KABUL (AZZAM): Rockets were fired from the south of Kabul at Kabul's police head quarters. No details of casualties have been received yet. Details of Entire Family Slaughtered By Targetted American Strike MEERANSHAH (AZZAM): In a moment a generation ended. 11 members of the same family were murdered by American forces when a 1,000lb laser-guided bomb struck their home in the Afghan region of Shikan, Paktika. Amid the smouldering rubble the charred, dismembered barely recogonisable limbs of eleven members of the same family were scattered. At least four of those killed were women; a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt perhaps, who knows? Does anyone really care. Together with the four women, two corpses of children slaughtered by the American bomb were also found, but you won't see that reported on the Western Press. At 23:30 local time on Wednesday assailants attacked a Coalition checkpost in Paktia killing between six and seven of the 25 or so Coalition soldiers present at the checkpost. Two hours after the attack on the checkpost US forces responded by calling in two Harrier jets. Having failed to find the assailants, and perhaps out of frustration, one of the pilots decided to drop a 1,000lb laser-guided bomb on a Muslim Afghan home with the entire family inside. The tragic incident was a "mistake" said Douglas Lefforge, a spokesman at the US military headquarters in Bagram air base, near Kabul. A "mistake" that a sophisticated, laser-guided, highly advanced bomb should mistake a sleeping family for an enemy target? Throughout the US Crusade in Afghanistan US warplanes have bombed civilian homes taking over 30,000 innocent Muslim Afghan lives, in supposed "targetting bombing" with "pin-point" accuracy. When does a series of "mistakes" become a sadistic strategy? As the world's media is filled with pictures of "looting Iraqis", no one asks why hasn't the photograph of an entire family wiped out by a single American weapon be shown? Should this not be headline news, rather than Saddam's taste in interior design? Perhaps what is most tragic, is when the Muslim world moves onto other things, there will be no one left to mourn the loss of these eleven. No mother, no father, no children. A whole family has been slaughtered. US Base in Khost Attacked KHOST (AZZAM): Mujahideen forces launched a ferocious rocket attack on a US base in Khost. In all, 20 rockets were fired inflicting heavy casualties, however exact figures have not been confirmed. Pro-American Northern Alliance In-fighting Kills Six MAZAR-E-SHARIF (AZZAM): In a fresh series of clashes between two commanders of the pro-American Northern Alliance, six fighters have been killed. The battle started in Parwan province of north western Afghanistan between General Rasheed Dostam and Muhammad Atta's troops. Five Oil Tankers Laden with Explosives Spotted In Kabul KABUL (AZZAM): The head of Coalition forces in Kabul declared a state of emergency in Kabul after five oil tankers laden with explosives were found after routine checks by law enforcement personnel in the capital. Four men have been arrested. Security measures in and around Kabul were stepped up on Wednesday, and all highways leading to Kabul International Airport were sealed and checkposts set-up on several roads within Kabul. This comes at a highly embarrasing time for Hamid Karzai and his American sponsors who have long claimed that the Al-Qaida and the Taliban are "destroyed", but quite clearly events such as this, together with the daily casualties inflicted on Coalition forces beg to differ. Muslim Arrested in Mosque Raid LAHORE (AZZAM): In a joint operation between US FBI and Pakistani agencies, a Muslim man with Pakistani nationality was arrested in Raiwand, Lahore. FBI agenst stormed the Mosque in which Chacha Ahsan was performing his religious duties on Wednesday morning, arresting him and then transferring him to an unknown location. It appears that FBI agents together with their Pakistani colleagues have shown little regard for the sanctity of the Mosque, which according to Islamic belief is a House of Allah. Chacha Ahsan is accused of being involved in "terrorist" activities even though no evidence to support this has been provided, having said that; at the time of his arrest he was praying in a Mosque. |
