| [center] [img]http://www.albany.edu/~msa/imamzaid.jpg[/img] [/center] as salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah, The MSA at SUNY Albany is honored to host Imam Zaid Shakir for our fundraising dinner on Saturday, April 26th. Please join us to support the MSA and to learn more about how to find hope in these times of difficulty. The event begins at 5pm by the Parents Fountain in the Campus Center at SUNY. Dinner (catered by Shalimar Restaurant of Albany) will be served promptly at 5:30pm. Imam Zaid's speech and the program will begin thereafter. Imam Zaid Shakir receieved his Masters degree in Political Science from Rutgers University and eventually become a lecturer at Southern Connecticut State University. He then spent 7 years studying Islamic sciences in Syria. He is currently the Imam of Masjid al-Islam in New Haven. Tickets are available at local masajid or by contacting a member of the SUNY MSA.
