Self Evaluation

Salaams,

Does anyone on the board have any ideas on how to manage Self Evaluation, I'm not on about one self but more on how dawah work is conducted. For example, when I'm at work I have regular Post Reviews of my work for example, how good has it been or how poor, skills learnt, customers gained etc,  the end review is if its a good Post review I get a pay rise otherwise its back to the drawing board.

I was thinking does one know or carry out  a similar theme in our works of dawah ? Not only do I think it would bring out better performance in our work but also makes us really recognise our mistakes and prepares us to clear goal planning.

Does anyone do this or have any further ideas to how it can be turned into for dawah work ???

Not sure if this will help you Uncle Hanif. I just learn this from my manager when I complain to her that I have trouble to organize my thoughts , follow up,post mortem and cost calculation on projects. She suggested Gantt Chart and Program Evaluation and Review technique (PERT) . This has helped me tremendously in organizing my project that I even use this in my daily life outside work except that I simplify the process involve to suit my need.

There's also FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) that help us predict the obstacles we have and think of the solution upfront and follow up on the issue. You have to assign the severity, occurance,Risk Priority Number (RPN), owner etc.

Maybe I can make a sample for you?

Salaams,

Many thakns for your post NinthMuharram, also good to see yuou back. I've heard about ther PERT analysis and I tink it would be a good start, I haven't heard of the FMEA tool but I guess I could pick it up. I originally thouught of the SWOT method(Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) but I though maybe a bit too simplistic.

I feel that if we applied those tools to our dawah methods then we'd see more results, well I hope so. If anyone knows any other tools I could use that would be great.

Assalamu'alaikum :)

Wow...

In my experience.. we just use simple tools like

dividing the activity is different areas, and evaluate them individually, then look at it  as a whole. Record them into minutes and/or report for reference for the next commitee. Oh yeah... and give suggestions for future activities.

Also, evaluation vis-a-vis the objectives of the programme, ie. whether it has achieved those was also done. I think wot would be good if there are some performance indicators that can be worked on that is SMART (Specific, Measureable, Agreed, Realistic, Timed). And see if that was achieved.

Allahua'lam :-)
