Forever Young
by Faisal Chowdry

I saw you standing there as a clear
puddle glare after a Lahore monsoon
rain small and delicate like a Japanese
origami crane You tried to reach the
droplet laced Roses As cold round drops
trickled down Your arm I stood behind
you knowing the harm of the thorns a
second later I heard you cry like a new
baby born you turned and looked at me
and I could clearly see that the monsoon
rain had left the sky and took its place
in your eye seeing you in pain made my
tiny heart cry I wiped away the droplets
from your cheek with my little hands
and up from under your eyelashes your
eyes sought mine and mine yours the
sun began to shine and those rays of
light in flight reflected in your smile all
the while my cheeks turned red like the
roses embarrassed by Ya-Sin that
brought us together I looked down
because I was shy from the corner of my
eye I saw a little hand fit into mine our eyes
met again and we began to smile
hand-in-hand we ran without a word He
had brought us together as we sat under
our Acacia Tree that would comfort,
protect, and overlook us as
long as eternity will Be we sat there our hands
in each other’s this was love no
hesitation nor stuttering we listened to
the song sung by the birds in our tree of
a tale of two whose love is forever
young and will always Be so long as remain He...

This one is kinda sad...

Untitled
by Asmaa Hussein

I blink.
And as my eyelashes embrace The world changes.

One more child is ruthlessly beaten.

One more wife is abused shamelessly.

Another child is born into a home That can never support it.

Another dies from utterly severe Starvation in Africa.

One more mother cries because she knows That without food, her baby will die.

One more girl is raped And killed in a local slum.

One more crime is committed Without just punishment.

One more baby girl is given up in Asia Because her family does not want her.

Ten more soldiers are murdered in what America knows is an unjust war.

One more man is slaughtered while unfalteringly Fighting for his dignity.

One thousand more tears splash down Into the abundant sea of sorrow and regret.

One million more hearts are shattered and Neglected without a second glance.

Countless backs stabbed and Left to bleed in humiliation.

Another pair of eyes blink in front of a TV set They belong to the person who does not hear the screams, Feel the pain.

A person who can never learn to care They blink passively as if a single blink does not matter.

The world can change in the blink of an eye.

But some things, Some things will never change.

:)

just another thought ....

Things-

Something are bad; Something are good;
Something are sad; Something are misunderstood.

Something are great; Something are not;
Something fast abates; Something do not.

Something are absurd; Something are sane;
Something are unheard; Something heard again.

Something are nice; Something repel;
Something entices; Something never sell.

Some things are clean; Something are bold;
Something are seen; Something untold.

Something intrigue; Something are small;
Something unique; Something enthrall.

Something are fast; Something are not;
Something last; Something do not.

Sang by: Rod Stewart

May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever Young ......................

May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
with a prince or a vagabond

And may you never love in vain
and in my heart you will remain
Forever Young ..............

And when you finally fly away
I'll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell

But whatever road you choose
I'm right behind you, win or lose
Forever Young  ................. [/center]

Let Me Grow Lovely
By- Karel Wilson Baker

Let me grow lovely, growing old--
So many fine things do:
Laces, and ivory, and gold,
And silks need not be new;
And there is healing in old trees,
Old streets a glamour hold;
Why may not I, as well as these,
Grow lovely, growing old?
