Sis Muna
I would never name my girl Muna simply because my dad's sis is named it as is my mother's sis- thus I am surrounded  ;) so with my immediate family alone I think your desire there has been fulfilled  ;D

as for names,
you will think I'm wierd for how much thought has gone into this,
but I always thought if I was a Muslim, I would be named Aisha, marry a man called Ahmad and have a boy called Ali. If I had any girls they would either be named Ayah or Aaliya...

there's a lot of pretty names on the list though,  some I never realized how pretty because you take em for granted,
;D

Ruqyah

All names are pretty in their own right. It's sometimes upsetting that non muslims find muslim names so difficult to pronounce. Take mine for eg Ruqyah  ??? But thats no reason to not give them one of the many beautiful muslim names ;)
Some girls names that I like :-) are Ruksana,  Amina
Some boys names I like  ;-)  are Hamza Imran Ismail

What I don't like is when people cannot pronounce names and they say the name any way they want to say it, even if they change it completely.  For instance my cousin's name is Saba and at school everyone calls her Saaaaaaba.  They prolong the 'A' so much.  But anyways these are my favorite names.....
Female  --- Afshan, Safa, Ambar, Zeenat
Male --- Aamir, Muzzammil, Miraj, Adil

G:                              B:

Nasrine                      Ridwan
Nishaat                      Mikael
Rayhana                    Ali
Jaylaan                      Muhammed
Hanifah                      Hanif

I have many.  Our Imam's wife would love to have a son.  She's already picked out like 10 names for him.  And yes, he will have ten names.  I'm serious.  It's sounds so rythmically sweet.  Can't repeat cause I could never catch all of it.  She says it so fast b/c she doesn't want ppl to take them.  Two names is all I'll go.  Maybe three.  So many beautiful names yet we can have only so many children.  The meaning of it is what I go for.

Ma-asaalama.....

When you choose your favorite names are they the names of someone you liked/respected?

Also have you ever met a nasty (insert name here) and then refused to call your child that because of the negative connotation?

Yes, I have, there's several names I would never ever name my childeren because of people I've met and situations..

There's a couple of people who I have respected, or who helped me out quite a bit, and they both have the same name, so I had wanted to name my son, if I ever had one, after them.
But I don't know what kind of names my kids will have, I'm American and my fiance's Turkish, and we both have names we want to use...It'll be interesting when it comes time for us to pick names!

Although I like the name I am thinking of, I will never name my child that because of personal reasons!!! I dont want to remember that person when I look at my beautiful son's (that I might have insha Allah!!!!) face!!

and here are some of my favorites:
girls: :-)
Safia
Badriyah (this is actually because of someone I knew!! SUCH a kind person to me before I became Muslim, masha Allah!!)
Zainab
Zahrah
Mahin
