It is also forbidden to take the organs from those to be hanged before death or after, as man does not own his body. Brain death is also not a real death according to Shari'ah; only when the heart, breathing and the brain stops functioning completely, will it be actual death. Taking organs from the sick and the dead was also declared forbidden. This was announced at a big lecture for doctors and professors in Medical schools at Assiut University in Egypt. It was stressed that some Ulema and Muftis have been misinterpreting the meaning of some verses in the Qur'an in order to justify organ transplantation. The shaykh warned against blindly following the West in medical practices, as God and religion are not considered before allowing any medical procedures. Islam came to guide sciences and medicine and not the other way round. He quoted that even after an animal had been slaughtered, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) forbade us from cutting any part of the animal till it had died completely and all movement had ceased. This confirms the rulings by the late Shaykh bin Baz (Arabian Peninsula) and Shaykh Metwalli al-Sha'rawi (Egypt) who also declared all types of organ transplantations as completely forbidden. While capitalist companies increase their monopolies, we reveal the BUY MUSLIM strategy. The website www.buymuslim.co.uk is currently in development. A test site is already up but is being radically re-designed. I am writing to inform you about the recent publication of my first book entitled "The Best of Times: Virtues & Significance of Important Days, Nights, Months and Festivals in Islam". It is published by IPCI, distributor of Ahmed Deedat's books, from Birmingham. The subject matter of the book can be ascertained from the subtitle and it was primarily written as a practical handbook to motivate Muslims to do additional voluntary deeds on a regular basis. It took nearly two years to research and write the book. Within a space of 66 pages and 477 footnotes covering nearly 40,000 words, I have included around 59 Qur'anic verses, 186 Ahadith authenticated by leading classical and modern traditionists and 38 quotes from scholars. Full references have been given to 165 works, the overwhelming majority of which are in Arabic. At least 70% of the 10,000 copies of the book have already been distributed by the publishers. In the UK It is LEGAL to kill an unborn child up to six months pregnancy and up to birth (9 months) in the case of disability. This has been the case ever since the ABORTION (murder) ACT of 1967, where about 6 million have lost their lives under the hands of BUTCHER doctors! On the anniversary of this Abortion Act, all Pro-life (anti-abortion) people of all faiths, especially the good Christians, will be standing on the roads in over 55 cities in Britain all at the same time in a peaceful manner. Date: Saturday 26th April Time: 11.00 am - 1.00 pm The aim will be to raise awareness amongst the public about the horrific reality of abortion and remind them to STOP this inhumane legalised killing of our innocent unborn children. Our good Christian friends have asked for our help and support to join them in this event as they have done every year. As we all know, Islam is against Abortion and it is prohibited. Life is sacred in Islam! So I appeal to all sisters and brothers to join us, just for 2 hours, in this unique, Islamic, humane cause and for da'wah purposes. For the Muslims in London, we will be all standing next to the entrance to the Parliament. Tube: Westminster (District, Circle & Jubilee lines). There seem to be many different paths in front of us. What should a Muslim do and is there only one right method? Allah (swt) created each one of us with different interests and abilities. Some of us may be inclined towards learning and teaching, others may be more talented in writing and responding to anti-Islamic propaganda, some might be better at speaking in public and explaining the beauty of Islam, while others may be more productive in physically helping the poor and orphans. Whatever the capabilities that Allah has placed within us, for whichever aspect of Islam, it is essential that we try our level best. Following on from the event a fortnight ago, when a number of Islamic organisations presented practical projects that ordinary people can get involved in, this week's interactive session will aim to evaluate the interest in such projects, their relevance and whether we are truly sincere in wanting to contribute positively to the Ummah or are merely good at giving lip-service and nodding our heads at talks. Venue: Froud Centre, 1 Toronto Avenue (on the corner with Romford Rd), Manor Park, London E12 5JF Buses: 25, 147, 86 Nearest Tube: East Ham (District Line) Nearest BR: Manor Park (From Liverpool Street) For more information contact: Tel: 07958 326 176 E-mail: islamic_circles@hotmail.com *********************************************************************** THE PEOPLE OF ALLAH: FOLLOWING THEIR FOOTSTEPS (Bradford) Special Guest Speakers: * Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi * Sidi Naeem Abdul Wali Date: Sunday 27th April 2003 Time: 2.30 pm Venue: Jamiat Masjid, Barkerend Road, Bradford BD3 * £1 Admission Fee * Brothers and sisters welcome For further information contact: Tel: 07791 631760 or E-mail: info@imanfoundation.com Profiles of Shaykhs: Shaykh Naeem is an American convert to Islam who has studied the Islamic sciences in Istanbul for over eight years full-time at the feet of some of the finest scholars including Shaykh Mahmud Effendi and Shaykh Ihsan Khoja. He has focussed his efforts exclusively in the traditional methodology studying the classical texts in aqeedah, Hanafi fiqh, and other subjects to an advanced level. Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi is from Damascus. He is the son of the eminent scholar Shaykh Ibrahim al-Yaqoubi (RH), who was one of the leading scholars of Syria - the Maliki and later the Hanafi Imam of the Grand Umayyad Mosque. He recently moved to Sweden, where he started learning foreign languages and served as an Imam for the Muslim community in Gothenburg. Some of the books he studied under his father include; most of the six books of Hadith, al-Muwatta' of Yahya al-Laythi, most of al-Muwatta' of Imam Muhammad with Sharh al-Laknawi, Ihya 'Ulum ad-Deen, al-Hidaya of al-Marghinani, Mughni al-Labeeb of Ibn Hisham, several volumes of Irshad as-Saari of al-Qastalani. Shaykh Muhammad wrote a thabat (detailed list) of the names of the books he studied under his father entitled, The Concealed Pearls. This is a testament to his father's efforts in passing on his knowledge and experience to his children, a rarity in our modern times. *********************************************************************** IRAQ - PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE (Manchester) As the crusader continues to ravage Iraq, with millions suffering, the Muslims throughout the world feel connected to the Islamic lands of Iraq. Iraq which was opened up with the blood of the Sahabas was for centuries the leading place for culture, art and civilisation. Not surprising then that many of the leading schloars came from this land, including Hasan Al-Basri, Abu Hanifah, Qadi Abu Yusuf, Ibn Sirin as well as many others. With such a glorious history under Islam the Muslims yearn for a better future for Iraq. A future that would not only reshape Iraq but also the whole of the Muslim Ummah according to Islam, such that Muslims once again can live under the shade of the Khilafah state, Inshallah. This year, MEDIA MARCH (No. 5) will occur against: pornography, immoral sex, violence, bad language in all the channels of the media. It is basically organised by some moralistic good Christian groups from Media Watch-UK. The Muslims have joined them in the previous 4 Marches. The march will start from Tothill Street, then move opposite the Parliament (10 Downing Street), before congregating in Trafalgar Square for a rally. There will be speeches by Muslims and non-Muslims (Leading moralist Christian personalities in UK). Insha'Allah it will finish by 4 pm. We badly need Muslims (brothers and sisters) to join us in this great "Islamic" event, as previously the attendence by Muslims was very very poor. I was ashamed to witness this serious neglect! It is also a good cause for da'wah and a good measure to protect our children, youth, women and families. A leaflet about the event will be out shortly. Also we are carrying on with our petition forms. So far we have about 90,000 signatures. Hardly any Muslims have signed. What a disgrace ..! The petitions are to be submitted when we have at least 250,000 signatures. It asks for more control and censorship in the media. PLEASE INFORM AS MANY BROTHERS AND SISTERS ABOUT THIS EVENT AS POSSIBLE SO THAT THEY CAN PARTICIPATE IN AN ORGANISED MARCH. Mention this in your Friday khutbahs, conferences, talks, study circles, magazines, radio, internet, etc. If you also inform non-Muslims, many will come as they are concerned, like us, about the harms and damage done by the media.
