I want to ask something.... I'm not sure to ask of but....... here it goes... 1. Is there lower Janahs/ higher Jannahs? 2. Is there a greater reward than the Jannah itself? That's all....... thanks :-X |

[slm] 1. Yes, there are different levels of Jannah. See Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 227 (http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/058.sbt.html#005.058.227 - kinda long so I haven't quoted it here) Also Muhammad Alshareef quotes a hadith on the soul's journey after death - when the angel of death carries it through the different levels of Paradise (http://www.geocities.com/eKhutbah/finalday.html) I myself can't reference it, I'm afraid...:( There are more hadiths on this of course...I seem to remember another where the people of higher levels will look out from their houses and their faces will illuminate the lower lever levels, giving pleasure to those below... 2. Yes. Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said that Allah would say to the inmates of Paradise: O, Dwellers of Paradise, and they would say in response: At thy service and pleasure, our Lord, the good is in Thy Hand. He (the Lord) would say: Are you well pleased now? They would say: Why should we not be pleased, O Lord, when Thou hast given us what Thou hast not given to any of Thy creatures? He would, however, say: May I not give you (something) even more excellent than that? And they would say: 0 Lord, what thing can be more excellent than this? And He would say: I shall cause My pleasure to alight upon you and I shall never be afterwards annoyed with you. [Sahih Muslim Book 40, Number 6787] It is also somewhere (help anyone? ;D) in Bukhari and Muslim that: Rasul Allah [saw] said, “When the inhabitants of Jannah enter Jannah, Allah will ask them all, ‘Is there anything that I can give you more?’. They will say, ‘Have you not illuminated our faces? Have you not entered us into Jannah? Have you not saved us from Hellfire?’ Then Allah will uncover the veil (and all shall see Allah). After that moment there would nothing more beloved to them than seeing their Lord." Limited time so that's all I can post for now...meanwhile look through Book 40 of Sahih Muslim for descriptions of Paradise etc (http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/muslim/040.smt.html) [wlm] PS apologies for poor referencing... :-[ |
