| Assalaamu-Alaikum Warahmutallahi Wa-barakatuh I much prefer coke. Just kidding!! So I went to Jannah.org one day because I know the author and stumbled upon this delighful community. I love it. ANyways, she and I goes a long ways, we lost touch after I moved, but al-hamdulillah, we found each other again. 10 years is a long time to be away from your sister. Anyways, just here to introduce myself properly. Born a Muslimah, raised in Troy, NY. moved to Washington State 10 years ago, the only place I know where you need your sunglasses and windsheild wipers on at the same time. I miss everyone, we kinda had a bebzi stand group where we got together and just talked. Our Masjid's parking lot. He he he. Those were the good old days. *sigh* This is a taste of fresh air being with various Muslims from around the world. Living in a community with only your race gets tiresome. I miss the diversity of Muslims we had at the ICCD. Islamic Center of the Capitol District. (Can't believe I still remember that acronym.) I like to write a lot and have quite an opinion so forgive me if I sometimes ramble on. Ma-asalaama. |

I have another daughter, not a son. 3 yrs next month, insha-Allah* My daughter keeps asking me when I'm going to take her to NY to meet you all. insha-Allah soon. i didn't have to tell you to send my salam to the rest, you know me all to well. thank you. Did Sr. Suzanne, tell you about the Education forum hosted by Isna in Chicago? yeah I meet them there along with absar's mom. we took photos, maybe they can share with you the recent me. | It's so heart-warming to see good friends getting together after so long! I just said good-bye to my good friend -- she's moved to the Queen Charlott Islands!!! It's like 20 minutes from Alaska!!! (j/k) -- but it's definately too far away from Montreal! Just wondering...I say "Love, me" to my best friends too -- hehe, and I thought we were being original! My surroundings are lacking in Muslim population :'(. Time invested here is an attempt to balance things out for myself and increase my knowledge in the process..... Insha Allah ..... Anyways, this life is a test for all of us and just remember that All ah is the only one we have to answer to. Keep that in mind and hopefully, insha Allah, none of us will stray. Nouha, if you're older sister is named Iman, then I do know you. But then your mother's name would be Fatimah, I think. If not, forgive me, it's been a long time. And you would've lived in Troy way longer then 10 yrs. The Nouha I know would be about in her early 20's or so. So if you're not the Nuoha I knew in Troy, I'm glad to have meet you in here anyway. And bhaloo....what cow stories? Ma-asalaama. |
