Here's a personality test I had to take for my new job.  (I'm working for an NGO, doing mad research and getting paid just enough to cover my airline ticket and transport to and from work...but hey! at least it's nice ova heea ... :P )

click on the first test (Jung's)

I didn't like the first dude's analysis, but the second guy was spot-on.  Actually, he sez other people who are INTPs include: Socrates, Blaise Pascal, Descartes, Sir Isaac Newton, Meryl Streep and Einstein.  So basically, that was flattering enough :)

My sister's a counselor...apparently only 2% of human beings are counselors...I'd like to find another one :)

Let me know what you are, and whether it's a good analysis of YOUR personality.

Wasalaam.

I'm an INFP. Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving

They got most of me correct... except for the ugly duckling in a family of swans bit. Overall, Joe Butt did a more accurate description.

Thing is we r so rare.. we only make up 1% of the world's population :((
I wonder who makes up the bulk.

Anyways... one thing I'm happy about is...
I'm with Mary, mother of Jesus (peace be upon them)  ;D
Alhamdulillah.

Sis Original.. they don't put occupation in their analysis? If they do, where is it?

Not an occupation...just a title...in the first analysis, it says it on the top.

Portrait of the Champion (eNFp)

This is sooo cool :) I thought it was soo descriptive especially the melodrama part  :P

The Champion Idealists are abstract in thought and speech, cooperative in accomplishing their aims, and informative and extraverted when relating with others. For Champions, nothing occurs which does not have some deep ethical significance, and this, coupled with their uncanny sense of the motivations of others, gives them a talent for seeing life as an exciting drama, pregnant with possibilities for both good and evil. This type is found in only about 3 percent of the general population, but they have great influence because of their extraordinary impact on others. Champions are inclined to go everywhere and look into everything that has to do with the advance of good and the retreat of evil in the world. They can't bear to miss out on what is going on around them; they must experience, first hand, all the significant social events that affect our lives. And then they are eager to relate the stories they've uncovered, hoping to disclose the "truth" of people and issues, and to advocate causes. This strong drive to unveil current events can make them tireless in conversing with others, like fountains that bubble and splash, spilling over their own words to get it all out.

Champions consider intense emotional experiences as being vital to a full life, although they can never quite shake the feeling that a part of themselves is split off, uninvolved in the experience. Thus, while they strive for emotional congruency, they often see themselves in some danger of losing touch with their real feelings, which eNFps possess in a wide range and variety. In the same vein, eNFps strive toward a kind of spontaneous personal authenticity, and this intention always to "be themselves" is usually communicated nonverbally to others, who find it quite attractive. All too often, however, eNFps fall short in their efforts to be authentic, and they tend to heap coals of fire on themselves, berating themselves for the slightest self-conscious role-playing.

I'm an INTJ.  I think I took one of these tests back in high school.

My profession that it says at the top:
The Portrait of the Mastermind
hmmm, goes well with my administrator duties here.  :P

Typical INTJ career choices are in the sciences and engineering, but they can be found wherever a combination of intellect and incisiveness are required (e.g., law, some areas of academia). INTJs can rise to management positions when they are willing to invest time in marketing their abilities as well as enhancing them, and (whether for the sake of ambition or the desire for privacy) many also find it useful to learn to simulate some degree of surface conformism in order to mask their inherent unconventionality.

Very true.  Overall the analysis was pretty accurate, and a little more general then I had anticipated.

The Original, I hope you aren't going to use these results in some psychology class you maybe taking.   :)
Fieldmarshal Reporting for Duty!

im an eNTj, ill buy that. i did this test abt 5 yrs ago, i cant remember wot my description was back then tho.

Of the four aspects of strategic analysis and definition it is marshalling or situational organizing role that reaches the highest development in Fieldmarsals. As this kind of role is practiced some contingency organizing is necessary, so that the second suit of the Fieldmarshal's intellect is devising contingency plans. Structural and functional engineering, though practiced in some degree in the course of organizational operations, tend to be not nearly as well developed and are soon outstripped by the rapidly growing skills in organizing. But it must be said that any kind of strategic exercize tends to bring added strength to engineering as well as organizing skills.

ISFP.  Have no idea how accurate that is. But there were a few things which I felt might be true. who knows?

As-salaamu 'alaykum wa rahamtullah

Also an INTJ.

While I thought the INTJ description fit pretty well (seemed 90% accurate), I tested out some random answers (ie, answered without reading the questions). That  made me an ISTP, the description of which seemed maybe 50% accurate. So not sure if there's a description I'd completely disagree with.

But the question I have is: was it "less accurate" of who I am, or of who I perceive myself to be (kind of an inherent problem with self-administered personality tests)? And how do they know that Thomas Jefferson was an INTJ, anyhow?

[sigh]

Thanks for the brain-twister.  :)

Assalamu 'alaikum,

I am an ISTJ. The part of the description that I 100% agree with about myself is in bold:

ISTJs are often called inspectors. They have a keen sense of right and wrong, especially in their area of interest and/or responsibility. They are noted for devotion to duty. Punctuality is a watchword of the ISTJ. The secretary, clerk, or business(wo)man by whom others set their clocks is likely to be an ISTJ.

As do other Introverted Thinkers, ISTJs often give the initial impression of being aloof and perhaps somewhat cold. Effusive expression of emotional warmth is not something that ISTJs do without considerable energy loss.

ISTJs are most at home with "just the facts, Ma'am." They seem to perform at highest efficiency when employing a step-by-step approach. Once a new procedure has proven itself (i.e., has been shown "to work,")the ISTJ can be depended upon to carry it through, even at the expense of their own health.

ISTJs are easily frustrated by the inconsistencies of others, especially when the second parties don't keep their commitments. But they usually keep their feelings to themselves unless they are asked. And when asked, they don't mince words. Truth wins out over tact.
The grim determination of the ISTJ vindicates itself in officiation of sports events, judiciary functions, or an other situation which requires making tough calls and sticking to them.

His SJ orientation draws the ISTJ into the service of established institutions. Home, social clubs, government, schools, the military, churches -- these are the bastions of the SJ. "We've always done it this way" is often reason enough for many ISTJs. Threats to time-honored traditions or established organizations (e.g., a "run" on the bank) are the undoing of SJs, and are to be fought at all costs.

Wassalam.

It's been a while since I have done one of these!  Anyway, another ENTJ checking in, but I have to admit that I was marginally away from being an INTJ (only an 11% preference for E  ::))  which would explain why a lot (but not all) of the INTJ description seemed adequate as well, while the ENTJ was not a perfect fit either.

But it was fun anyway!  Thanks for the link!

hmm ESFP...Extraverted Sensing Feeling Perceiving
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Where's the party?" ESFPs love people, excitement, telling stories and having fun. The spontaneous, impulsive nature of this type is almost always entertaining. And ESFPs love to entertain -- on stage, at work, and/or at home. Social gatherings are an energy boost to these "people" people.

I think i have to take this one againnn...

Lots of fun things on the site today... everyone had the same idea.

Congratulations on the job,  I'm a firm believer that some of the biggest compensations from work are not realized until after the fact.  & definitely not all compensations amount to a dollar figure.

"Architect".... I wanted to be an architect. After taking this test, whoow I know why that didn't happen...  ;) just joking

Sophia, Bhaloo &  I, are I guess all on the same wave length, but I'm feeling I would have said that before the test  :-*
They are rather rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population. Being very judicious, decisions come naturally to them; indeed, they can hardly rest until they have things settled, decided, and set.
-- Hmmm, now should we ask Jannah how this, lets say, 1% ended up here ?

I'd say personally, that I felt the evaluation was pretty accurate going by the description.  And on the score end of it... three of the points were well over 60% almost 70% so I'd have a ways to go in changing those points.  The lowest was the Thinking  :P ... so if that ever dropped for any reason..... I'd be a counselor personality ((that almost sounds better.... lol... Mastermind sounds EVIL ))

As the organizing capabilities the Masterminds increase so does their inclination to take charge of whatever is going on...  :( oops

They tend to be much more self-confident than the rest, having, for obscure reasons (smile) , developed a very strong will.

In their drive for efficient action, they are the most open-minded of all the types. No idea is too far-fetched to be entertained-if it is useful. Masterminds are natural brainstormers, always open to new concepts and, in fact, aggressively seeking them.

Theories which cannot be made to work are quickly discarded.

On the other hand, Masterminds can be quite ruthless in implementing effective ideas, seldom counting personal cost in terms of time and energy  :P … Isn’t that the truth !!

This was a favorite: -- they will be able to tell you almost immediately whether or not they can help you, and if so, how. INTJs know what they know, and perhaps still more importantly, they know what they don't know.   :-*
