| [slm] i am confuse... There was a multicultural show at my school. Student from Turkey, Middle East (Arabic), Desi (Bengalis mostly), Africa, European countries, Hispanic, and others performed various way representing their culture. This takes place every years... i went there last year and promised myself never to attend any of those kind of shows AGAIN, especially where muslims ACT like NON-MUSLSIM!!! All the muslim sutdents there were a total disgrace! They were showing thier body parts and performed exactly like non-muslims... (my friend told me this cuz i didn't go, seeing how it was last year). They were also dancing disgustingly, especially the Turkish were. That show was meaningless (at least i think so) cuz they weren't reperesnting theri culture! What happend to Hijab, Jelbaab, and other islamic outfits? Western culture can't be our culture!!! can it?????????????? So the question is, WHO DO YOU CHANGE? THE MUSLIM WHO ARE LOST EVEN BEING MUSLIM OR THE NON-MUSLIM WHO DON'T KNOW ABOUT ISLAM? ??? ??? I HAVE SOME BETTER NON-MUSLIM FRIEND THEN MUSLIM (UNFOTUNETLY) I KNOW SOME NON-MUSLIM WHO DON'T EVEN SHOW THIER WHOLE HANDS. ANYWAYS, i am sorry if i hurt any1 in any way. | There is nothing to be felt sad about this.... infact the people are showing their ethnic cultures not Islamic.... plus this is due to you and your friends being in the non muslim educational system....why dont u guys tell ur parents that u wont go to such educational institutes.... you can do a lot , a lot to change this. Just speak out a bit.......and dont blame everything on others take some responsiblity as well.... Mulla! |

| [slm] Astagfirullah. May Allah (swt) guide muslims and nonmuslims to the str8 path. Ameen I feel ya sis! I also know many nonmuslims who are better than some muslims and vice versa. Both at the same time as bro ahmeth said :-* Be a good Muslim example to them and insh'Allah they will turn. Stay strong in your faith and dont let their bad habits influence you. May Allah (swt) reward you for caring and wanting to help them. your sis |
