A Palestinian brother in the community was raided by the FBI like two weeks ago or so. 30 armed FBI men attacked his home in the early hours of dawn....THIRTY!
They spent 4 hours or so, searching every thing, displacing the carpets, the attic, every corner was stripped, while he was ordered to sit in a corner and watch helplessly. His computer and printer was taken for further investigation. They didn't say why he was being treated like that. Later they took him to court and he was simply released with no further explanation.
Oh yeah, they asked him about his family in Palestine and if he sends money to his Parents? (what does that have to do with the Federal Bureau of Israel???)
Anywayz, we work in the same department. Yesterday his supervisor came to ask me if i knew anything about his whereabouts. He has been missing for over a week, and its very unlike him not to return phonecalls or inform anyone at work. His supervisor was aware of the FBI mishap.
My heart stopped :(
I have contacted several members of our community and no one has seen him either :'(
Well, the Imam knows and they said they'll look into it.
What can we do? Is there a place we can call to find out what's going on?
I am really worried about this brother, he is an upright citizen, ph.d Mashaallah and a great guy...
Please make duah and any tips on what our community can do will be appreciated.
Jazakumu Allahu Khayran,
Sis,
Maliha.

It is very, very sad.  But I hope he will turn up, INSHA-ALLAH.

Did he report what happened at his house to anyone else besides the authorities???  If it is the authorities that are doing this kind of thing, how many more people have disappeared without a trace???

Assalamu 'alaikum,

May Allah (swt) protect him (Ameen). Do u have CAIR chapter in ur community or city? Contact them. They are the best people to take care of such things. One of the brothers from our community was also picked up the same way, not by FBI, but by INS. CAIR Austin did a good work by atleast finding out his whereabouts within 3 or 4 days. But, the matter seems real serious, because of "FBI's" involvement. Wallahu A'lam.
Sigh! Seems like there is no safe place for the Muslims anymore. May Allah keep us all in His protection, and may we all die as Shaheed (Ameen).

Wassalam.

gosh that is sooo sad and terrible!  :'( im so sorry to hear that. May Allah (swt) protect the Brother. Maybe the people in the masjid could investigate this? Did you report him missing?Get the police involved and then the mayor. It is important to get this to high authorities. Somtimz the highter authorities such as mayor dont know what is going on. it is very important to inform them

Alhumdulilah our masjid is very much involved with fbi and we always inform the fbi before giving any charity, ect. just at jumah this wk a person from the fbi came to talk to us. REally we have to get the masjid involved with the community. Alhumdulilah the mayor/ police always come talk to us and assure us our safety.

please try to help this brother ....
May Allah (Swt) keep him safe and bring him back without harm.
miy prayers are with him.
