| MAB Alert: Watch ‘The Killing Zone’ this Sunday Channel 4, Sunday 18th May, 9-10pm After the excellent, Bird, Bremner and Fortune show (Beyond Iraq and a Hard Place, repeated 17th May 2.45am) on Sunday, a trailer was shown for the Dispatches programme this week. Across the screen flashed the names of Rachel Corrie, Tom Hurndall and James Miller. All have either been recently killed or shot by the Israeli army. The trailer asked, “If this is what is happening to Westerners, then what is happening to the people of Gaza?” Reporter Sandra Jordan goes undercover in this Dispatches special, The Killing Zone, to witness the appalling level of violence and murderous hate in the region. If, as the trailer suggests, this will be a brutal expose of the Israeli army’s suppression and heavy handed tactics in a land that isn’t theirs, be by your email facilities, fax machines and phones, ready to defend Channel 4. Every time that a TV programme has come down on the side of truth, peace and justice in the Middle East, the programme makers have come under heavy fire. John Pilger’s, Palestine is Still the Issue, was one recent example, where our comments of praise outnumbered the pro-Israeli lobby’s complaints, such that the ITC’s investigation into the documentary ruled Pilger to be balanced. | [slm] Did anyone else watch this? What did u think? Mash'Allaah I thought it was really good. It's amazing how the isrealis have made lying/giving pathetic excuses into an art form. Can u imagine the outrage if any Muslim nation was to give such excuses? Subhan'Allaah. And u can just imagine how hard the zionists are probably going to come down on ch4 , especially since it was just recently that there was a celebration of the creation of 'israel'. I think we really should all contact ch4 and give them our support, so they don't end up cowering and thinking it was a big mistake to show the program, and also so that insha'Allaah there will be more such documentaries trying to show the real truth. |

MAB ALERT: ‘Killing Zone’ painful but truthful Despite the pain and anguish it may have brought to viewers' hearts and the tears it made their eyes shed, Channel Four's "The Killing Zone" (shown at 21:00 on Sunday 18 May 2003) is a true reflection of what Israeli occupation has been bringing of misery and destruction to the lives of Palestinians for many years. Reporter Sandra Jordan, Director and Cameraman Rodrigo Vazquez and their colleagues who contributed to the production of this excellent documentary deserve commendation and salutation for their courage and dedication. In as much as it brings to the world's attention the suffering of the Palestinians under occupation, the C4 documentary is a testimony to the bravery of journalists and cameramen who have paid with their lives to tell the world the truth and peace protestors from Europe and America who have also paid with their lives endeavouring to prevent Israeli bulldozers from levelling Palestinian homes to the ground. | MPAC ALERT: Channel Four under attack by Zionist Media lobby MPAC research has picked up new intelligence that the zionists are fuming at channel 4 for the excellent ground breaking documentary called the Killing Zone shown on Sunday the 18th May. A second ALERT has now gone out from www.honestreporting.com the Zionist Media lobbying group that has over 55,000 zionists who respond to their ALERTS, demanding Jewish people call and write into Channel 4 slamming the program. The Israeli embassy and been in contact with Channel 4 and BBC1 who on the same day at 10 showed a Panorama documentary that accused zionists of manipulating American Policy. Not surprisingly it is said to have asked over 40 Synagogues to write in on behalf of their communities demanding the BBC apologise. | [slm] I watched the Killing zone. and was absolutely appalled at the stories. All we hear is about the 'suicide bombers' and yes yet again thats whats on the news today. stories like this never appear. This shouldn't be a one-off documentary, this is NEWS that should be appearing on proper bulletins! That is what would be called balanced reporting. [wlm] :-* |

| Salaams, Even better was Panorama on BBC1 now that wa a show worth giving credit for. Amazing how some people planed about the downfall of Iraq long before September 11th. Absolutely amazing. Yet time and time I kept asking where ARE the muslims. If it took Mr Perle and his collegues 9 years to plan the downfall of Iraq then how come we Muslims have lost the vision to see anything more than 6 months. Questions need to be asked.
