[slm] :) I've caught the spring cleaning fever along with the rest of the family and so i've been re-organizing, re-arranging things in my room, and when I got to my scarves I thought i'd come here and ask you gals how you organize them - to get some new ideas (read to get some serious help ;) ) |

Salaams, [quote]re-arranging things in my room, and when I got to my scarves I thought i'd come here and ask you gals how you organize them - to get some new ideas (read to get some serious help [/quote] Sorry not a sis but have you thought of giving some to charity, thats the easiest way I find organizing anything. Have a standard colour like black as black goes with anything. Salaams Hanif |

[slm] sister :-) what about hanging a few at a time on a hanger? ...and peg them so that they don't slip off.... if you have one hijab per outfit...peg it the hanger on which your outfit is hanging.... Otherwise there are all sorts of space saving cupboard accessories one can get these days to sort scarves and belts... I hope this is of some help Insha Allah :-) [slm] |

[slm] LOL, Bro Hanif... IKEA has some good organizing solutions... funky hangers, boxes, etc.... Even if you don't want to buy it from there, it can offer some fantastic ideas. Wasalaam.. |

[slm] Your local dawah center may be planning to do a display about Hajj at the museum and could use your scarves. Also the new shahadahs who would really benefit from them. I personally work at one... so if you need the address...IM me. For organizing mine, I picked up an over the door shoe rack at a yard sale. I leave the pins in and hang them on each individual spot... keeps them wrinkle free! |

What I usually do is place a shoe box in my dresser drawers, roll up the items like a cabbage role, and place them side by side in the shoe box. Drawer looks organized and you get to choose which color of the item you need easily. (I do that for other girly items as well ;)) |
