| asalaam alakum, I was thinking, why can't we have a new department? one that talks about health, diet, and exercise and just focuses on those topics. we can call it sehha center (health center)...w'salam |

| [slm] I would be interested in a health department also. I have been trying to change my diet for cholesterol management so I can get off the medication that my doctor put me on. Heart Healthy halal recipes and things along that line would be good also. I have been looking through different web sites for cooking ideas that won't use haram items. That seems really difficult to do. There are a lot of changes that I am attempting to do to fall in line with the Qur'aan and Sunnah teachings. Yasmeena [wlm] |

[/quote] We have such a department already, its called the Akhwat forum, but in addition to those topics the topic of marriage is heavily discussed in there. |

It would take some of the load off of Akwhat, Ikhwan and Kabob... health, sport and recipes respectively... :-* But don't call it "health club" something else because the bros already have dibs on that name ::) |

If I re-send it out, kinda like I am doing here vicariously by posting it in this thread, Am I not guilty of '....force in Religion...' which the Qur'an forbids? BAck in the 1410's (Hijra Calendar) I made a living selling the Alim software, and at one of the Islamic Conventions we had a booth at to sell our softwares, we learned of a peculiar 'consumer electronic' aimed at the early adopter muslim. It was a little machine that you press a button, and it sez say, 'SubhanAllah' 33 times or it might say 'Ahhumdulillah' 33 times.... And so on. Reasoning by the inventors of the product was since you made the 'NIYYAH' (intention) to actually make say 33 'SubhanAllahs', using their little gizmo would work just as well.... The above message in my inbox reminded me of that long-forgotten product. And, if Allah, Glorified and Praised be He, wished to reward dhikr of the microprocessor recording as He may reward Dhikr of the human tongue, who are we to comment further?
