| Assalam alaikum warahmatullah don't know where to begin but here goes... i'm a sis and i made such a big mistake *bursts into tears* in getting to know this man (muslim) over the internet. i feel awful and disgusting about it and i sincerely repented to Allah and i don't want to know him anymore cause i feel its so wrong. We've known eachother for just over a year and hes always been asking me to send my photo to him (though i never would) and because i woldn't he said he's started smoking cause i ain't sending my photos (don't know how true it is) A few days ago i finally realised what i was doing i mean getting into this whole situation was my fault and i repented to Allah. I stopped sending him emails and i don't talk to him anymore. He keeps sending emails asking whats wrong with me etc etc and he said hes increased the number of times he smoked cause i ain't comming online. what would you do if you were me? |

| [slm] I am really happy you found your way, and repented:) May Allah increase you in strength and perseverance to stay on His path:) If I were you... I would IGNORE him! The guy is a jerk. period. Anyone who emotionally black mails you aint worth your time sis. Trust me. If he jumps off a high cliff for you, that's his perorgative aint nothing to do with you. He smokes when he misses you??? awwwwwwww...how sweet.. NOT! ::) its simply a cheap, cheezy shot at trying to manipulate your emotions, so you can backtrack on the path. I would block off my email...better yet I would change email address...join a group of sisters in my community and volunteer, go for halaqas, spend time reading the Quran and alwayz seek refuge in Allah, if you are tempted by shaytaan to contact him. end of story. | I would change email addresses also. the smoking bit sounds a little corny and dumb. Well, it is better you figured it now and not after you sent your pic out and seeing over the internet digitally enhanced or something sick like that. Take care and good luck |

Sending emails and keeping in touch via IRC ?. Hmm, let the bro know that you nolonger feel appropriate to be in touch and with that delete your email and start a new life. Salaams Hanif |

| [slm] smoking because he cannot see your photo??? That is lame. period. Just tryin' to put the guilt trip on a sista!!! And what a stupid guilt trip he's tryin' to pull!! Its good you are getting away from him before getting way too involved--like when he knows what you look like and stuff!! Just like some of the advice here I would change my email or just block his email address. Ameera |

| [slm] I agree with all the posts so far. One other thing you may try doing is that if he keeps up with the unwanted e-mails, report him for spamming. That is what unwanted e-mail is. Most e-mail programs have a blocker so that would be the easiest thing to do. Or list it as junk through a junk filter. Either way it will be sent back to him and maybe he'll get the message. ;) [wlm] |

Dont wait for his reply because he might try to convince you. or just try to make you feel guilty again. doesnt seem to be a point in it.. | [slm] Well although I don't feel anything is left behind to be added to the discussion since my other friends particularly sisters have covered it very well but I'll just say don't waste your tears for such a person keep it for someone who really deserve it. |
