Greasy? Hardly, maybe it wasn't done properly when you ate it. I loved it.

Have you ever had chicken charga? I need to learn how to make that stuff insha Allah.

I think Br.Bhaloo you are confusing Nihari with Paye? Nihari is not greasy.

I was there last weekend. It is great specially with Nan. A friend of ours was telling us that Sabri has opened a branch in Indainapolis also.

Br Al-Basha, Did you get a chance to go to Tahoora? The only shopping we did there was from Tahoora :)  Their Mithai is the best in USA .

TQ, maybe you are right about the Paaye? ???

I've had mithai from Tahoora and I've never been to Chicago.  Once at a local wedding I attended, they had mithai shipped out from there, and I have to say that was the best mithai I have had.

Oooh tahoora, ok don't even get me started about that shop. Literally the best desi sweets shop on Devon St maybe even the whole of Chicago?

We had a bunch of stuff, don't know the name but I also had some kheer.

The kheer was like a special mint flavored thingy, really really good stuff.

Bhaloo you gotta try nihari some time.

As anyone tried it?  Was the mithai still fresh?  I guess its not a good idea to order kulfi and have it shipped? ???

From Chicago to California? No, u can order it but ask them to ship it in a running freezer, and ship a running generator alongwith it to keep the freezer running  :-/ :-/. Man, bhaloo, I thought u were bad at differentiating paaye and nihari only  :P j/k.

[slm] all

Speaking of paaye made me recall that embarrassment i once had to face coz of them, it so happened that once my cousins family and i were there at an acquaintance's place for the weekend, for Nashta they served paaye !!! my nemesis back in days :P , I told my uncle that i wont be able to handle them but the host insisted and i had to give it a try and when i did....... SPLASH !! ...... it slipped and was all over the table

Our host politely took the plate away and said "chorro baeta aapkaay bus ka roog nahee :) :)" it would have been less embarrassing if he said it with a straight face :P

Recently i've improved on as to how to handle paaye, bring em to me and see em vanish, in my stomach that is :)
