Assalamu 'alaikum,
meraj isnt arabic for mirage is it?
Mike those are two different words. The name "Meraj" (that this brother has) is Mi'raj which means 'Ascension'. I can't recall the Arabic word for "Mirage" but its mentioned in Qur'an (I think Surah Baqarah). I'll look up InshaAllah.
and yes, meraj is the quiet silent type
Wasn't it Meraj "the welcoming wagon"? ??? Wassalam. |

Salam :) I think mirage = saraaba. I'm not sure abt Al Baqarah, but I think its found in Surah An-Nur (chap 24) and An-Nabaa (chap 78 ) . Allahua'lam. |
Wa'alaikum Assalam, JazaakiAllah khair sis.Barr. I remembered the aayah, but was not sure about the surah. This is the aayah from Surah An-Nur which I was talking about: As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are like a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one thinks it to be water, until he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing, but he finds Allah with him, Who will pay him his due (Hell). And Allah is Swift in taking account. Chapter 24, verse 39. And yes, the Arabic word for it is "Saraab" Wassalam. |
