[img]http://maliha.blogspot.com/shadows.jpg[/img] when all that is to be written has been squeezed out the last drop of ink has dried parchments folded my soul stands convicted of untold crimes my soul stands shivering in the icy claws of death an age of prophecies fulfilled. the masses are dancing to death tunes limbs writhing in pain horror descends clouds of Mercy dissipate the worshippers are blind the rest heartless voids existing within billows of darkness clutching at every straw the sun continues to shine but not for long the moon continues to reflect the emptiness within blood bathes the desert sands as the howling winds wipe the traces stark footsteps tracing lines of despair redrawing maps into ages of ignorance reliving the agonizing story that keeps repeating itself tick tock cycles of death moaning round and round we are the shadows of yesterday's darkest illusions Explosions awaken my senses to the madness of today's nightmares Destruction Thick smoke circles today's crumbled homes reliving death scenes minds turn obscene terror gleams in eyes yet to be born innocence has no abode in a world poised to attack terror reigns the snake has unveiled its venomous fangs worshippers stare fixedly in horror blind. blinded cowering behind dense fogs of confusion and awe till the day the veils are lifted stark clarity recoils every illusion and shadows become no more. -Maliha Balala [/i] |
