I have a double reply to this    8)

If I could go anywhere, see anyone and do anything and money was no object I would charter a private jet and get everyone and bring them to a huge ranch to visit with one another and have one big dinner / BBQ.

But if I had to chose. I can sincerely say I couldn't make a choice. Kathy cause she is my age and I feel myself relating to her in may ways.

Jannah cause she seems so sweet and wise beyond her years and the daughter I would of liked to have if I had had a daughter.

Hanif cause I think he is a wonderful and thoughtful person who I would of given anything to have as a real brother.

But you see, I have grown to care about each and all of you and you all have qualities I admire.

Barr...... :-/ I bet she would make a wonderful and fun little sister and a handful to deal with   :P  What an adventure.

Now see there are many more I could mention but it would take 10 posts and I don't wish to offend or leave anyone out.

TOUGH question Hanif     ;)

Subhana Allah...most of the people I really wanted to meet I will get to see in the retreat  :-* Which really messes up my intentions big time  :'( Like yeah "it's going to be a deep spiritual experience, Inshaallah, May Allah facilitate this for me to be a stepping stone on my life long.... OMG!!!! I GET TO MEET BARRELLA  ;D and SeHeN [] and and Deen :-* and and Aabidah :-) and Kathy 8) and JaynnaH  ;D and and.... oh yeah... the *point* of the retreat...was umm" anywhoo so you catch the drift  ::)

But if money wasn't a thang and I could travel halfway across the world,  cascade over the rainbows, glide across the time difference matrix, and slide down a ray of sunshine...right into the radiant, witty, soulful realm of Ummwafi's Haven I sooooo would :-*

Why?

Mashaallah if there were ever a concept of a twin soul, I think she has *got* to be mine (or is it ze Mystique hoping she can sunbathe in the irradescent glow of her sushine 8) )...I think i would have a blast tearing thru' the Malaysian sunsets with her, or (God protect America) if she ever comes here...its all over! Clear the way bush and cohorts..the Hurricane has arrived   :-/

Anywho, you know I love you Feesabillillah ya Ukhty  ;D

Sis,
Maliha :-)

i think i would like to see fatimah.  I do not have a daughter so that would be fun.  Hanif could come too so i could talk to him also.  I do not know anyone elses kids  but young ones are the most fun.

I would like to meet....everyone!! Even though no one knows me yet, since I have that newbie sign right under my name!! :'( Alas..  ::)

Where are you people in 3d world anyway? I checked the map and most of you are on the east coast... of USA that is. I wonder why I don't meet cool people like you guys often???

Maybe it's just me...maybe I should move out to the east coast.. or maybe I should go out more.. or maybe it's because my life revolves around school. Oh well, vacation is here..maybe I should do more exploring!!  :-X

Anyways, got carried away.. take care everyone. Stay cool 8). Bebzi on me.  []

Well, I would definitely like to meet ALL the sisters, especially the ones I have dreamt of, lol  ;)  And sis Halima, who I *almost* got to meet earlier this year, but due to visa/transit problems, she was unable to make it out of the airport transit lounge, so next time, inshaAllah...

And the brothers here, who give such excellent advice-I learn so much from all of you, I would just like to oneday experience that *in real life*...

We should organise a touring retreat, how about that?  Where we hop from country to country, visiting all the madina members...*sigh* wouldnt that be great?

InshaAllah, we will all get to meet in Jannah, inshaAllah

Salam
Shahida :-)

Or maybe for us in the USA, a central point, a midway point would be nice for a get together for the ones of us who can afford it.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and some of the people I would like to meet are on the East Coast!  Of course, if I visit my daughter at the same time as going to meet some of you, I'd be in the South East!  Oh!!  The dreams we come up with here!!

[slm] all

Well i've a passion to meet new converts to islaam, there are these dawah jamaats from abroad that keep visiting our area and its really fun to talk to them.

Last time i talked to few chinese reverts and they were so kewl, one of them was an electrical engineer who converted 2 years back andd Allah used him to convert his family too, when i first approached them in the masjid one of them spoke urdu and i was kinda dumb-founded !!! He said in a pathan type of accent (no offense to pathans) "kya haal aa moulana" :P ... yea due to my beard :) :) .. and they had these small one's .. heh :)

So i would love to meet chris (and where are you man? no posts..) if i ever have time and money. I would love to meet ALL convers to islaam coz they to me are very special people

And ofcourse when i'm done meeting them i would like to meet Madina Wrestler too.. BUT.... there is only one hitch i.e. i wonder how hard his hand shake or hug will be coz a wrestler is a wrestler :P .. so i guess i better start working out 7 days a week rather than just 3 with increased number of reps heh :)

PEACE
Asim Zafar

PS: I heard that Prophet Muhammad [saw] at this death bed said to the sahabah "i want to meet my brothers", Sahabah replied O Prophet [saw] we are your brothers, He then answered "No you are my sahabah, my brothers are those who will not see me but still have faith in me as the final Prophet"

PS2: Can i dare relate that and wish to meet all the bros on this board ? :)

PS3: me and my

[quote]hmm ..tough question.....  :-/
[/quote]...... you can say that again !! You always ask hard ones Uncle Hanif

Hmm... I sincerely have prayers to meet everyone here one day...Insha Allah..... but I feel 'That wasn't the direction of your question was it?'  ;) lol

Oh well if I asked my heart...... the hint Allah(swt) has placed inside.
I'd say first & foremost I'd have a desire to go to Friday prayer with Jannah... I'm very thankful for her site here & all of us.

Then I would say...... Sisters M.F., UmmWafi, & A stranger... why?? I just have a hint/twinge inside they would offer ME something enriching to my deen if I was to meet them in person, more than I can digest through this site.... however.... Allahu Alam

Allah knows best & only Allah(swt) knows how much each of you have helped me come closer & stay aware of Allah(swt)........ brothers & sisters alike......... Jazak Allahu Khairan to everyone here at Madina.

btw: I should give a warning too..... if I was to meet any of you in person I don't think you'd find me quite as talkative as I am here.......  ;) more of an observer listener in person.... lol ... then I come to Madina & find myself writing books  :P

Everyone on the board :) Really. I keep a low profile cos I'm kinda shy and haven't got much to say or offer, but I jus love y'all for the sake of Allah  :-*

Two questions though -

1 - what happened to mwishka and Addison? (Never up-to-date, me :-[)

2 - repeating Caraj's question - what and when and where is this "retreat"? Very curious... ;D

Anyway, if Allah doesn't grant it in this dunya, then I pray I get to meet y'all in Jannah inshallah!

Tough question.  Very tough.  I have to chicken out and say I want to meet all ikhwan and akhwat whom I love for the sake of Allah and who loves me for the sake of Allah.  Actually, I dont mind meeting those who can't stand my guts either cos then I will have the opportunity of learning abt my weaknesses and Inshaa Allah improve upon them.

That said, top on my list of the person I most want to meet will have to be my beautiful sister Maliha.  I want to meet her because I want to be able to see the noor of Beauty that shines forth from the depth of her being to surround her and light others who are fortunate enough to be with her.  I want to bask in the warmth of her love and care and tenderness and feel that all is right with the world.  I want to close my eyes and have those beautiful and magical words she weaves penetrate my consciousness and linger in the recesses of my intellect.  I want to hug her so tight in the hope that our souls will henceforth be joined till we have our permanent abode in Jannah, Insha Allah. Last but not least, I wanna be able to say "I love you" to her and let her see the light of sincerity in my eyes.

Wassalam.

PS Also, these phonecalls are a nuisance cos both she and I always have too much to tell each other.  Plus I wanna nag her in person abt publishing her works.  Plus I wanna show her that despite my atrocious accent-immitating-ability, I am quite sane :)
