Dua Please

Assalaam Alaikum to my Family,

This is a SERIOUS request for Dua.

I have been having problems with a neighbor.  He is irresponsible, allergic to work and has played on our good nature AND my belief in Zakat, for food for himself, his girlfriend and their animals (dog and cats).  He is also an alchoholic and drug user.

This past Saturday they, the humans in question, had a knock down drag out fight between themselves and both left in different directions.  They left the animals to fend for themselves.  I finally called animal control yesterday because dogs and cats are after all creatures of Allah subhannah wa ta'ala and need to be taken care of.

Last night the male neighbor showed up at his home and threatened me because I had called the authorities about the situation.  Today animal control came back over to see if the neighbors had done anything to remedy the situation, got my statement and left another notice on the neighbor's door.  He drove past about an hour ago and when he saw the 2nd notice on his door, he glared at me and "peeled out" laying tire rubber on the road out front of my home.  He is very violent and has access to weapons through his step-father.

We need Dua!!  First that maybe he will think before acting.  If not that he misses if he shoots.  If not that it isn't a fatal shot.  If not that my family deals with the incident as Allah subhannah wa ta'ala would have them do.  Lastly, I request Dua for my neighbor that he comes to accept Islam along with his girlfriend and their families.

Salaams,

Yasmeena

Oh, I plan to be careful.

My hubby has online businesses so he is home almost 24 X 7.

And we have a good and faithful dog, Crystal, who lets us know if anyone is even close to our house.  Especially at night.  I used to get mad at her for waking me up at 2 or 3 a.m., BUT NOT ANYMORE!!!!

OOPS!!!! :o :o :o

I had better get off line.  They are home next door and hubby is outside with the phone to call "911" if necessary.  Hubby has been putting himself between any harm and me, Khalida and our animals for, it seems like forever.  The love of a good man is hard to find and worth keeping!  :-/

Inshallah, nothing will happen to you. If he loves animals he will be fine in a day or two, he is just venting his anger on helpless(in his mind) neighbors.

Inshallah Allah is with those who care for his creation..

I thank you for your replies and offers of help and your dua for us.

To Caraj - I have 2 dogs but thank you for the offer of the loan of your mastif.  Crystal is a husky/lab mix.  She's 185# and very solidly built.  Nimmie is a springer spaniel/lab mix.  She is not very big, only 75# maximum, but she can clear our 4 foot fence to get at anything in our yard.  Both are fiercely loyal to "their people".  BTW - Crystal's bark is deep and LOUD!!  You can hear her for blocks at least when she gets going.

To Siddiqui - I am not sure what the brothers in my local area could do that my husband can't.  We do have a couple of neighbors who may help out, even if it is only to call the authorities for us, if necessary.  I also sent an e-mail to the president of the local masjid (we don't have an Imam yet) and I know that he will forward it to the brothers and sisters in our Ummah here.

I am trusting in All subhannah wa ta'ala to keep us safe.  If he can't no human can, RIGHT?  I do appreciate your Dua for us.  :-* :-*

My family and I are perfectly fine.  We were out of town for a couple of days.  One of my nephews graduated high school and there was a family reunion/bar-b-que for him yesterday.  We got home late last night and I was really tired!  It has been really hot here, weather wise, as Caraj can attest to.  My family and I have been drinking at least 1-1/2 gallons (7-1/2 liters) of water a day for at least 3 days just to keep hydrated!! :o :o :o

AND NO, my dog didn't have to "eat the neighbor" :-/ This IS after all the Pacific Northwest where at this time of year we are used to 60-65 degrees maximum (sorry don't have the C conversion table committed to memory - I have enough problems with standard to metric!).

My hubby read the replies to my request and took some of the advice.  He waited until the neighbor was feeling in a good mood and talked to him "man to man" about the care of animals in a heat wave.

Alhamdulullah!!!  Allah subhannah ta'ala took care of the situation for us thanks to all the Dua for us, ours included!!
