Annoying Salespeople

Okay...well I'm a really calm and well mannered sister but lately I'm getting EXTREMELY ticked off. Is it just me or do salespeople love to call only me?! I've tried everything I could to tell them I'm not interested but they're soooooo persistent! They call when I'm not home and then when I check my answering machine it's got like a bazzilion messages that are empty....and I know it's them cause when I'm home I pick up the phone and what do ya know?!  It's like their stalking me or something!  :o
So one time this guy wanted me to buy something ( I dunno what, I wasn't paying attention) so I tell him, "Sir, I'm not interested" and then he asks why and I say because I'm not. So he starts punishing me!?!?! :o ??? Well of course I hung up on him cause I'm not a person to take that from no one.
Anyway, just thought I'd share that with you guys. And please I'd love to hear any suggestions of how to tell these people off...cause I'm running out of things to say.  :P  :)

I saw this sign one time many years ago. It read.

               EVERY THIRD SALESMAN GETS SHOT
               SECOND ONE JUST LEFT       :o

I thought it was kind of creative   ;D

I rarely experienced salespeople calling me at home but they sometimes showed up at the gate of the house and mostly showed up at my desk at work.

For the ones at home, I usually get my youngest sister to tell them "sorry, my mom is not at home..I wouldnt know anything" or get the maid to tell them "sorry, my employer went out ..I'm only a maid..wouldnt know anything"  :)

But its not as easy with the salespeople at work cause its part of my job to attend them..  sometimes I kinda feel sorry for them cause I know they were just doing their job trying to earn some money.. I'm sure it takes a lot of effort to convince people to buy things from you... that is why if I know there is no way my company is buying their product, I will tell them nicely not to waste their effort with demo whatsoever since we already have our regular suppliers for eg. I must say I admire salespeople (not the annoying ones of course ;)) cause it takes a lot of courage and determination to become a good one.

asalam alaykum,

i believe if you tell them to take you off their list they are not allowed to call you
back again. so try that out and see if the amount of calls you get is reduced
