| [slm] Mr bean's friends have finally caught up with him. By popular consensus among his friends and the members of madina he has been sentenced to death by deletion at midnight tonight. He would like to send you the following final message: [color=Blue] [slm] I am sorry for offending so many people here. I wish you all well. However, I would like to offer the following criticisms: (1) When somebody says something you don't like because they have a different opinion-- don't say nasty things about them -- like most recently after my post in the ummah section, and don't send them nasty messages either with things like: "your lack of concern is shocking...." and other things like that. (2) There are some on this website who seem to have an opinion about everything, and a very well defined one at that. Yet they are very inexperienced and have very little training in the islamic sciences. Do not open your mouth if you're not absolutely sure about what you are saying. (3) Give people the benefit of doubt. It may surprise you but, i am not as ignorant as many here think, but some people who are very ignorant insist on treating me with contempt whenever i offer up some criticism... Anyhow, thanks to you all for all for everything....this is a wonderful places in so many ways....but my time is up.....so [slm] and may Allah protect you all [/color] |

| Mr-Bean, I'm not quite sure what to say. :o I guess I can start out by saying, I think I have been reading the wrong posts. Cause I haven't seen where you were 'all that bad.' But then again I don't read every post. I've actually enjoyed your witt and advice and have seen where you are kind of quite wise. But straight forward, blunt and a little rough around the edges but I have no room to talk cause so am I at times. I wish you well, maybe you can talk to bhaloo and jannah about this deletion thingy. I don't know. It is so easy now a days to offend. And this board is hard at times in the way that you can't see a persons reaction or read their body language to see what is joking, what is serious and what is mean. I really really liked your post about what not to do in an interview, as the mom of two sons and a wife of someone who is around hundred of young men and knowing how they act and their lack of manors (and sometimes just basic common sense ::) , I think you should go on tour and teach young men about basic manors/ediquiet (I know I spelled that wrong). I know a few hundred who can use the advice and guidance :D I know you have never offended me, I did ask you a question about a post you made in one of my anon threads cause sincerely wanted to know why you thought that. (I am always open to other ideas and opinions and try to learn for future issues) You never replied so I figured you were busy. Take care I know you and your witt will be missed :( |

| salam alikum well i dont post much so ppl dont know me ...but i read almost all the posts ...and all i got to add is that mr bean u made the discussions interesting by posting a lot of stuff ...u only expressed ur view ..and as far as i know u havent offended ppl ....but then again i guess ppl might be reeely sensitive ....i hope the madina admin reverse their decisions ... i think its ppl like u who create good discussions which make the board worthwhile visiting ...like the recent discussions in the akhawat cafe was good .....i mite not agree wid a lot of ur stuff but its always interesting to read the other side .....but i guess the admins have the right to kick you out if they feel like it ...(they mite have there own reasons). emm a suggestion ... cant we on teh jannah board have some sort of public voting b4 anyone is kicked out ..just to make it fair .... ...hope u find sumother board mr-bean wassalam |

Dude u cant, ur posts, if anything, were really entertaining, and u sure made some of us laugh. And even when u did cause even the slightest offense, u went on to explain yourself. So why u going? Are people no longer allowed to have a difference of opinion? | Assalamualaikum, I'm a bit confused ??? - are you leaving because you wish to, or have you been asked to leave? Also, with regards to the purpose of this board - while I may not agree with everything that, for instance Mr. Bean or others may have said, I must admit that a lot of what many of you write (or rather type) gives me "food for thought." Posts, mostly those I disagree with, or don't have enough knowledge about to respond to :-[ make me go out and do my homework, do some more reading, and talk to those around me. And that is, in essence what makes me keep coming back to the board. I don't post much, but I am def. reading, keeping up with whats going on on here, and keeping you all in my duas. | [slm] First let me say that no one has decided to ban or delete Mr. Bean. It seems like he wishes to leave on his own free will. I personally think Mr. Bean you are being overly sensitive to a few things. You can't make everyone happy all the time. There will be people that will disagree with you in life and sometimes they will be right and sometimes you will be. Obviously each person has a different perspective on life based on their surroundings and the knowledge they have learned. There will be differences, learning how to deal with these differences is the key. Personally I think you should stay. It looks like you have won over many fans to your side. But ultimately the decision is yours. |

Mr-Bean, bhaloo is right, sometimes people disagree, but as to over being a little to sensitive to things, awwwwwwww that's alright been there....done that. Just ask Jannah and bhaloo how many temper tantrums and disagreements I have had on this board in the last year :-/ I don't think they can count that high (not insulting intelligance, just making a joke :P ) We are all inperfect humans, But inperfect humans who hope you stay. |

Mr bean has not been asked to leave by any of the admins... did some other member say something to you?? Don't leave... we need people with different opinions on the board.. and no, we will not all agree with you and nor you with others. That's the way the Muslim community is.. We have to learn to start living with each other and accepting other peoples ideas and views instead of making these 'like minded(same way of thinking about islam) cliques' Many people have left the board in the past because they are very sensitive and they don't like being questioned and attacked.. (and rightly so) but there are people who do think like you and may not be speaking out and it is not you who is in the wrong but the 'other'. So this is still a place to exchange ideas and opinions. As long as we respect each other this should continue to be a good place inshaAllah. And this relationship should go both ways.. we should be strong enough to discuss our opinions and try not to get offended and we should also be strong enough not to offend anyone and try to force our opinion on others and insist it is _THE_ islamic opinion.
