| [slm] After having created some popular threads in the Ikhwan folder, I thought I would try my hand at the bebsi stand. :P Here's your mission. Pick out 5 people and say something nice about them. Don't pick people that others have already picked, and don't write about someone that picked you. This way (insha'Allah) everyone will get picked. :) Shout Outs 1). Al-Basha for doing a great job in bringing the Hikhmah center, for keeping in touch and having patience with me, and being a really good brother overall,mashallah. Not to mention you're the brother with all the high tech news and the one that introduced me to chunky monkey. :D 2). Bulwark of Islam for being a good brother that I can joke around with on the boards, and for giving me the lowdown on the Karachi scene, especially all the places to eat. ;) 3). Madina Wrestler for being a good role model for the brothers. You demonstrated how you were a good father, husband, a manly man, an outdoorsman, and a man well versed in the affairs of Muslims today. 4). Sophia I look forward to reading your posts, they are filled with wisdom and are written very well and are very balanced, alhumdullilah. 5). Mystic Alhumdullilah I have really been impressed with the quality of your posts. Mashallah, so much thought goes in them, and I have really been impressed with how much your knowledge has increased since you joined this board a few years ago. |

Has a very calm nature and all.... mashAllah 2) Muhammad Ahmed : Although i've read few of his posts but they were so deep and thought provoking, i'm impressed big time :) and whenever i see that he is logged in, i'm like "HE is here... !" :) ... mashAllah nice work brother 3) Madina Wrestler : Oh the rules say we can't repeat names, oh well they can't ban me for repeating :P..... A guy who really knows how to lead by example, mashAllah :) 4) Abu_Hamza : My hero :P... okay seriously speaking, this brother really puts some effort in texting things and each word of his is worth reading, although sometimes there are so many words that i fail to catch up :P ... Bhaloo That car thread was totally cool (not too sure abt the lady's parking though >:( I genuinely look forward to what u will come up with next Halima I always love her posts, and she shared so much experience and knowledge made me really want to go to kenya and meet the muslims there... Abu Atheek Cricket fan..... (need i say more ;)) Attia Always posts something different, knowledgeable, new...... those dua's from the Qur'an were a great idea And last but not least Anonymous - :-/ well some of the anonymous posts have been really great and to be honest it lets us see views that people might be too shy to post if their names were on them.... [wlm] T PS i admire many other people in my Madina family, but if i begin, this post will go on for pages.... though i don't post very often i have been lurking for ages since, the old board..... :-* :-* :-* so i have read soooo many wonderful posts and learnt sooo many things Alhamdulillah |

| As-salaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah, Not really a "shout-outer," but kind words are a good thing: Saadia: For being my "translator." Not to mention my little sister (that's tough work). And for having a streak of my mom in her. Chris: Because he submitted - after aaawwwlll that, very courageous, mashaa'Allah. Allah is the turner of hearts. May He keep you steadfast and help you help us. deenb4dunya: For summarizing Ibn Qayyim's "Invocation of God" with Mystic (who's already been shouted out to), and also my way of hinting for more. JustOne: For having the ability to tell any story in the most hilarious way. Barr: For being level-headed. And for actually wanting to come to Albany from overseas (wait - is that level headed? jk, the retreat/ppl will be well worth it at least, i'A). May Allah grant you (and anyone else) a safe trip. Special mention to (ie, I could keep going): Simply_Sister: Already been shouted out to, but I've meant to tell her she has the most encouraging posts. Never seems to offend anyone, mashaa'Allah, always says a kind word. Panjul: For tellin it like it is. My guess is she packs a punch, too. AyeshaZ: For suggesting so many good ideas and asking for them, too. I'm all about benefiting from someone else's experiences/tips. Muslimah853: Similarly, for benefitting us with real-life experience and being so genuine. Yunus: Not sure what happened to him, but may Allah protect all those who carry out the struggle/jihaad of speaking the truth and rallying behind it. THere's a lot of newbies on the board, so it would be good for them, and plus it would encourage others that aren't It also gives me an idea of what kind of stuff you guys like, so I can take some of the discussions in those directions or develop new ones. | I have been away for a few, We went camping, busy at work, and doing a home remodel and I didn't want this to slip by and i hope I do not mess it up by forgetting people and if I have forgotten someone , sorry but here goes: hamayoun, has a good heart for people and you can tell from his posts that he wants this to be a better world. Abu Fatimah (for some of you newer people you can try to figure who it is , but fatherhood is one of the greatest aspirations you can do). for the many kind words and honesty he has shown me over the last year and a half. maliha, i like her posts Jannah, for allowing me to stay as long as i have. a sliver rose, again for many kind words. panjul, even though we are worlds apart politically, i like to read her posts because it reminds me of me 25 years ago. mujy, well he is banned, but i had the greatest time talking with him. Even though he was very opinionated (and wrong) it did not get in the way of being friends. there are a few more Yunus, Umm wafi, Abu Hamza etc. and sorry about the others who i did not mention |

He is my sons age and I felt like he was a lil bro. We emailed once or twice in regular email and then he disappeared. I always wondered what happen to him and if he is ok. As to my list in this post bhaloo asked us to use ones who have not been mentioned. And I can't. But here goes. Bro Hanif, His wisdom and compassion absolutly impresses me. Simply_Sister and Mystic and Silverose, their kindness and and caring are great. They also know how to stand up to a bro giving them an arguement in a post. Jannah, she is so cool and so wise for her age. and what an undertaking she has with this board and all of us and our different quirks and personalitites. I wonder if in paradise Allah will make her the paradise social worker :P Mujy, even though you are not here on the board, was fun being your big sis and was even cool arguing with you here's to you wherever you are [] Sal, The best friend and brother a sister could have. :) Kathy, her sense of humor all with her compassion and momma mod stlye is precious. Dawn, she is a compassionate lady, very kind who although not arguementative (unlike a few of us) knows how to quietly get her point across. There are many more and forgive me for not including all, but it would take a whole thread to mention everyone. All of you certainly have your own gifts that make so so unique and special. |

I miss my Mujy![/quote] awwwwwwwwwwww Kathy me too. I went through my old emails yesterday and can't find his last email address. I think I offended him without meaning to during our last emails. He started his own forum or yahoo group or something and he sent me an artical he knew he shouldn't be sending to me (due to my hubbys employ, was not cool) I asked him not to send such things to me again. I never heard back from him. Before that we emailed back and forth. I always called him Lil' Bro :) If I remember correctly he is my youngest sons age. I sure hope wherever he is that he is ok and well. |
