| [i]Lota = Pot used for cleansing in washrooms [/i] ========= Once a guy at a platform really needed to go to the washroom to answer the call of nature! so he hurried to the public one. They had an "Admin" there to keep the place tidy and regulate things, well, it wasn't a well developed/organized washroom and they had the "Lotas" placed outside them. Mr. X grabbed the black colored "Lota" and was just to enter the washroom but Mr. "Admin" asked Mr. X to put the Black "Lota" down and take the white one!!, the guy was in real hurry so he did that right away. After Mr. X was done he wondered why did the "Admin" stop him in the first place, after being asked this question the "Admin" replied... What else do you think they pay me for 8) heh :) Reminds me of those posts of mine that got edited/moved by the Admins/Mods in here :P and at times i wondered why? ;). SO, How about paying a tribute to our Admins/Moderators by sharing things that they've been doing to our posts and ask them for some VALID REASONS? ;D [slm] Asim Zafar :) PS: i hope we would get answers better than what Mr. X got :D |

| [slm] :-/ :-/ Usually when I delete a statement it is because of the "generation gap!" I can't tell you how many times Jannah or Bhaloo say "Kathy... I don't think they meant it that way!" Other times I delete is if the person writes the whole message in a language other than English! Until there is a translation... I am trusting no one... well except for our esteemed Bhaloo :)....[i]gotta' get in good with the new boss...[/i] |

| I am with silver rose, I wont touch this subject with a ten foot pole. Kathy, Are you the one deleting my posts? And i do not think there is that big of a generation gap between us. Or are you telling me i am way too old for this forum? |

| Salaams, I'm with bhaloo on this one why discuss this thread it does not make sense. The job of the admins is not go in blindly and delete every thread and post, yet its to build an online community. As everyone appreciates this is quite a task especially managing an Islamic board, lets make it easy for the admins and everyone else that if we do have any issues we raise it with Jannah and Bhaloo. When we admonish someone it needs to be done with hikmah and understanding in the same manner it needs to be discussed with the Mods/Admin and not on a public folder for everyone to see as it can only lead to friction. We are all adults and this is certainly not an online playground. People with real problems come here and discuss them thats why we have mods/admins and above all we need to be sensative and be aware that our advice or post can lead someone to either closer to Islam or away from it. | [slm] lol poor guy brother Nomi apology ki upr apology...hmm when I first read the post I thought it was here so we could appreciate the admin/mods did i read it wrong ::) Anyway if thats what it was for I would reallly like to mention some stuff that I really appreciate and really like 1)love how you keep it to modesty 2)love how you close it when it has been discussed fully 3)love how you delete anti-islamic sites (for one time in nother muslim forum (only other one and my first one i have participated in) some people were putting antiislamic sites and I didn tknow it was antiislamic went there and had sleepless nights b/c very upset ect... but ALhumdulilah has just made me stronger now...but dont neone else to go thru the same 4)love how you leave out extremely controversial subjects so we can all realize there is a difference of opinion and one doesnt necessarily have to be right 5)I love the rule that noone is suppose to insult another Im sure there is many more but these are what stood out in my mind Jazak Allahu Kaiyron your sister ps lol I realize now as i went bak and read the original first post..i never had really read the whole post and all i saw lets do a tribute w/o reading the rest of sentence....oops ..oh well atleast I saw it was good thing...i was gettin a lil confused w/ the replies lol now it all makes sense :D pss I do read whole serious posts b/f commenting ususally unless in bebzi stand.... ::) |

| [wlm] I think Nomi brings up a legitimate concern. If you wonder why your thread was removed/deleted/modified just message us inshallah and we'll let you know. There's no reason to complain about it to other board members cause that is truly not islamic behavior ( no offense ). It does actually nothing for anyone so email/im us inshallah. We do have a rule to madina msg a person when their post is deleted and tell them why. However, sometimes we forget or think it's too trivial a thing to email to tell u and write out a whole big explanation when it's something small ie duplicate thread, why we moved a thread or something to somewhere, etc... And it really helps if you are wondering to contact us instead of staying silent and perpetuating the misunderstanding. Jazakamullahu khairan |
