| [slm] It is not shame to confess smoking ,but can any one who smokes tell me why he/she smokes ? dont be embarassed ... just say it , may be we can find a way to stop it if you are willing so . [] |

| Well from what I know is that if one commits a sin, he/ she must not broadcast it because it would almost be like stating you're not ashamed of it. So if you do smoke, you should be ashamed because it is a sin. I know it's probably controversial because some think it's not. The way I see it though is that Allah (swt) entrusted you with one of His greatest creations and therefore one should take great care of it instead of slowly polluting and killing it. In the end it will return to its rightful owner/Creator- Allah (swt). Our bodies just don't belong to us. I also think it's quite obvious why some people do it. Either for the "glamour" of it, as a release from social pressures, or just simply because they're addicted. In any case, it's no excuse. |

Not to be taken as simple as some smokers deceive themselves by saying it is MAKRUH ( DISLIKED) as an excuse that this is not a big sin May be it is not a big sin but the word disliked ..disliked by who ? this is a question we need to stop at . well the answer is disliked by ALLAH So doing some thing disliked by ALLAH ? what can we call this ? not HARAM? Well When we are asked a simple question and fail to answer . I know nobody has a logic answer To say why he/she smokes ..so this might drive him/her to give up smoking . INSHALLAH ;-) |
