Since nobody seems to care about the chattering and giggling class taking over this forum, I have decided to take charge. Here is a manly topic for you. I hope this will take your attention away from topics like marriages, proposals, marriages, etc, and will focus it on the other better things in life.

Do you like to eat good food?
What kind of food do you like: chinese, desi, mediterranean, american/european, other? Please specify.
Can you cook any of these foods? If yes, please list.
How large a gathering can you cater for? In simpler words, how much can you cook?
I will inshallah post my answers at the end of the thread, so that I can come at the top.

Any takers?

PS: This is a brothers-only thread. Sisters, please just watch and learn. We know how "good" you are from that "other" thread in the cafe.

Wishful thinking superFOB. Sisters will post here no matter what. Especially now that you have provoked them!

You should not challenge an axiom like "sisters WILL post in EVERY thread"

Now for your questions:

- Do you like to eat good food?
Ans. Do you even need to ask that question?

- What kind of food do you like?
Ans. I like all kinds of food with the exception of american/european.

- Can you cook any of these foods?
Ans. My repertoire includes many desi dishes, and 2 turkish dishes.

- How large a gathering can you cater for?
Ans. Do you expect most guys here to be chefs or something? If you can cook for yourself and family thats good enough! I can cook for 10-12 people. Haven't tried for more than that.

Why is that almost all professional chefs are men? We witness this phenomenon even in "liberated" cultures. This is certainly true for desi culture.

Am I the only one who is familiar with the axioms?

Men LIVE for FOOD!

Obviously such a purpose of life, such a reason of the very existance demands that cooking be treated with utmost professionalism to cater to the tastes of MEN! That is why, almost treating it as fard-e-kifaya many men become chefs untill good manly (synomous with greasy) food is available in abundance! As soon as their is a decline in such food more men become chefs to restore world to its peaceful order, where men eat and women diet!
