| [slm] Brothers, and Sisters, in islaam, Period. i think all of you would agree with me when i say that, doctors, have the worst hand writing! am not kidding... believe me most of the time It seems as though they dip some bug in ink and let it loose on the prescription slips, even the druggists have to do lots of guess work to understand what they've prescribed :P I mean if Software Engineers like myself have bad hand writing then its understandable but doctors ??? .... beats me :) So how do you rate hand writings of people from following professions in general ** Doctors :P ** Software Engineers ** Other Engineers/Mathematicians [i](best i guess)[/i] ..um yes? waiting for ur replies Asim Zafar [quote] as though they dip some bug in ink and let it loose on the prescription slips :D [/quote] |

| [slm] :-) i agree with that...how the poor Pharmacist manages to read the prescription is beyond me...and then you gotta just hope you got the right medication LOL My physics teacher use to say that people inclined towards science have "scrawly" / untidy writing, whereas people inclined towards the arts / creativity have neat writing. It seems to be true in most instances although i wouldn't want to generalise :-) |

You do have a point with regards to mathematics. In mathematics, you start with a set of axioms and build a layer of theorems. Then you put your trust in those theorems and build another layer of theorems. As you keep building layers upon layers you can only understand theorems to the depth of the preceding layer, in which you have faith. Eventually it becomes as much a matter of faith as of understanding. |

| [slm] I ain't sure if i believe in this myself and i ain't intending to offend anyone so have a [] and :) oh and this is [u]not[/u] my own opinion...got it? get it? good :-* i always used to hear that clever people have scruffy writting because they're full of ideas, bubbling in their minds and they have to jot it down really fast in case they forget, and because they have to write faster they write scruffier. (maybe thats why some doctors write so scruffy ::)) On the other hand people who are a bit slower take time to think and so they can take their time in writing and so their writing is neater. wassalam |

| [slm] I would say that many doctors' handwriting probably gets so scribbly is from all the lectures and classes they have to take notes with incredible speed to keep up!! LOL you never know. |

| Well I think it should be mandatory that doctors take a course in writing legibly. It's like the most frustrating thing for me jumping from person to person just to see what the doctor wrote in patients' charts. I say it's chicken scribble. :P I mean IF anything should happen like a medication error, they wouldn't say, it was the doctor's fault but the nurse's fault. I don't get it?! |
