| Salaams, Allah be praised during the good times and bad times and abundant blessings be bestowed upon the Prophet of Allah, peace be upon him. Ansaar Organisation will be holding its 2nd Annual Fun Day on Sunday 13th of July. Ansaar Organisation was founded last year and came about from the concern of a few brothers.It was felt that the social needs of Muslims in the community were not being fully addressed and that there was a need to create a venture for the Muslim community in an Islamicaly acceptable environment and raise awareness in social, health, education and recreational fields. Ansaar Organisation is an independent and non-profitable outfit, we are community based and therefore hope to work closely in conjunction with existing agencies to ensure that the potential for our events is fully realised. The venue last year attracted over 1000+ people and this year we are aiming to have even more people attending. Inform your families and friends about this Fun Day. The event is conducted in accordance with Islamic Sharia, prayer and wudu facilities will be provided. Numerous attractions and events will be on the day from Madressah Football Tournament, under 10s, under 13s and under 16s. Delicious BBQ and Food Stalls Karate Demos Horse Treks Careers and Educational Stall Ball Pit and Bouncy Castle and a lot more. The venue details are: Date: 13th of July 2003 Location: Birkdale High School, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire From: 9am to 5pm Price: NONE open to all ! Due to lack of resources on our part the programme is only available to brothers, sisters cannot be accommodated on the day. Insha-Allah we will have a similar programme for sisters soon. | [slm] I have to agree sr Danyala all too often when events are organised us sisters are left out. This upsets me quite a bit as Brothers can do stuff like sports etc quite easily anywhere, as for us sisters we have to specially hunt for and find places where we can have sisters only sports etc...*sigh* InshaAllah we can work to improve this [wlm] |

| If you are interested there will be sports tournaments for brothers and sisters at the Living Islam Summer Camp. www.livingislam.co.uk At the moment they have the details for the brothers sports events. Sisters should be posted up soon. Sports will be in seperate areas. |

| Asalaamu Alaikum ;-) Alhamdulillah I managed to make it up there yesterday. All credit to Br Hanif and the rest of organisers for putting on such a great day for the kids and the local community. The weather was perfect and everyone was having fun and tucking into their sheesh kebabs!! ;-) The guys playing football weren’t too shabby either I’ll have you know. The Karate demo was awesome. You should have seen the faces of the young kids as the Brothers were showing off their moves. ;-) As I said to Br Hanif, young kids are very impressionable and we need more Islamic role models out there to impress them!!! All in all a great day out and the weather just added the icing on the cake. Roll on next year ;-) |
