| As Salamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters I remarked to a friend of mine that if she would like to meet ex Desi's, this is the board to join (?) She visited and was overwhelmed with the "American" aspect of the board :-) which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that she is now intimidated about introducing herself. | [slm] Ok, I think I figured out what the person is asking. To them DESI is a FOB (fresh of the boat). And an ABCD (american born confused desi) is an EX-DESI. Although I don't know why the question is being asked, it sounds a bit bizarre to me. |

It's Fiancée for females and Fiancé for males. As in, if you're fiancée is female, she has an extra "e". As far as I'm concerned, the accent is optional...but the extre e...
