salam, does anyone know if there are any negative effects to exercising while you have your period.. ie walking, running on a treadmill or aerobics? how about exercising in very high temperatures, you seem to sweat alot more is that good or bad? |

Allahu'alam i gain wieght when am on my periods cuz i eat a lot and REFUSE to Exercise .... jus walk up n down da stairs... : S easier i ran up n down da 12 steps .... 10 times : D i was suppose to do it 20 times but got lazy : $ |

I've never heard of any negative effects of excercising while on your period. I do, and it actually makes me feel better. Also, I've read that it will help with cramps, though, I've never noticed if it does or not...Anyways, I hope this helped. |

[slm] Dear ukthis...I'm new to this message board...jus wanted to say a big salaam and ((hugs)) all round ;D K, about the question ukthi....inshaAllah there isn't a negative effect if you exercise while on your period...like the sis who posted before me said...it can help with any cramps and is actually encouraged sometimes, to help relax the muscles :) Exercising in high temps...again the more you sweat, the better it is for your skin! Your pores open and all that nasty dirt and grime are expelled....so alhamdulillah....no harm in it. Pray this helped inshaAllah, [wlm] :-) |
