| Aa, pls note i have received email from someone who has viewed this programme they had this to say.. He seems to take for granted that we are all anti-Semitic but rather generously he asks are we anti-Semitic because of the Israeli-palestinian conflict or because we imported anti-Semitism from Europe ….. He asks questions like how widespread anti-semitism is in the middle east Asks questions like … is the Koran disparaging about jews And in relation to the Koran what is all the apes and pigs stuff The programme starts and ends with a clip from a Saudi tv channel showing a 3 year old muslim girl saying what she thinks of israelis………shock tactics …...see notes below Mentions sheik faisal talking about jews etc and interviews his rather inarticulate wife Its arrogant, conceited, trashy tabloid style journalism, anything European is shown to be far superior to that of anything middle eastern. Arabs are shown to be naive because apparently they don’t know enough about European history. Eg. Aaranovitch dismisses such subjects as the existence of the elders of Zionism texts and proves – by simply saying so – that these were forgeries by the Russian secret service ….anything negative about Zionism he dismisses with a single sentence with no real evidence but we are supposed to just take him at his word. There are scenes from the Palestinian media watch in Israel proving how racist we are because they continually showed clips of anti-Semitism. Purely sympathetic to Israel, there are quotes such as …. The way Palestinians feel about israelis terrifies us …please give me a break … its farcical ……. This israeli interviewee says that Palestinians kill Israelis because it is a religious obligation Therefore they're saying that our religion is anti-semitic An Israeli interviewee ester is labelled as honest the continual innuendo of arabs is that they are anti-semitic ….. The programme is ridiculous …. We asked for a pre-screening of the programme to check for bias – they refused point blank …. We finally got a call from the PA of Mr Sutcliffe the person who commissioned the program. We explained to her that letting a Muslim hater like Aaranovitch do a program on why Muslims hate Jews, was as ludicrous as letting the Leader of the BNP do a program on why blacks hate whites ! did they honestly think it was going to be unbiased or fair to the community he was commenting on? They were by letting this man make a program on Muslims, effectively surrendering the reputaion of Muslims around the world to the mercy of an Islamaphobe. Either they knew this man was a known Muslim hater, and let him get away with it, or they were unaware of his credentials and thus didnt do the appropriate checks on the character, both postions were unacceptable. Why did Muslims have to suffer for Channel 4's blunder !? All they would answer was 'We understand your postion but you need to speak to someone higher up' ..who would call us back. We waited and waited .....and waited. Then we called them back, only to be stonewalled by a secretary who was pre programmed it seemed into saying the same thing over and over again. 'Watch it on Saturday' … We can assure them that we will but the fact that channel 4 refused to acknowledge our well founded concerns over them showing aaranovitch’s propaganda vehicle against muslims just shows the uphill struggle we still face to prevent islamaphobia in the media… but we don’t intend to leave it there …….. What you can do? It is important that channel 4 recognise the brevity of their error in allowing this Zionist to peddle his propaganda against us. We need you to help us fight this jihad. We need you to do 2 things; Contact dorothy burns or Mr sutcliffe and 1. complain now at the obvious lack of judgement channel 4 have shown by agreeing to show a documentary made by someone with aaranovitch’s credentials. ask her why she has allowed this well known Islamaphobe to make a documentary on Muslims, where is the objectivity that is required by every film maker? | salaam dude, I thought this was happening this wkend ???. I just sent out an email to my friends telling them to watch it and to complain :P. Um ok, so no, I obviously didnt watch it. Anyone who did, care to enlighten us with ur views? (I'm so embarrassed now, I think I should go email my friends again and explain :'() wa'salaam |

| aa, this is the pathetic reply i got from Channel 4 of course none of questions i asked were answered. Zionists are having a field day they were so happy with this programme...... Many thanks for your email. David Aaronovitch is a respected writer and broadcaster and in "Blaming the Jews" he has made a balanced journalistic inquiry into a sensitive but important issue. The film shows - through the use of television and film footage, newspaper articles and interviews with Muslims in several countries - that some of the information Muslims believe about Jews is misleading or simply untrue. The film examines the myths that still remain about Jews, untruths that are used to justify anti-Semitism. One of the main conclusions of the film is that as long as anti-Semitism is allowed to prosper, the distance between the two faiths will remain and the war in the Middle East will continue. Regards. It was truly the most Islamophobic, biased, unbalanced, offensive, hateful, inciteful piece of Zionist propaganda that has possibly every been aired......it was truly shocking. Firstly Channel 4 have shown a grave lack of judgement by allowing a vocal Islamophobe and blantant Zionist such as Aaraonovitch to present this programme, he clearly has a anti-Muslim agenda. Surprisingly it is not seriously challenged in the program. How dare he call our religion anti Semitic, when he follows the most racist ideology in the world: Zionism. - Another Israeli interviewee is labeled as 'honest' as she spurts innuendo of Arabs being anti-semitic .....The program is ridiculous .... There is no balance, we're racist, he's just not sure how widespread this is. Isn't it time Channel 4 consulted Muslims on programs like this? I know that the Head of Channel 4's Religion Department is a Muslim. i have also been told that Aaranovitch refused to go via the correct channels and consult the Department at all. Why wasn't the Department consulted on the program, it was after all about Muslims, and even attacked the Quran and asked leading questions that tarred Islam. Why did channel 4 not use its own guidelines and have it checked by the Akil Ahmed the Head of Religion? Aaranovitch knew that the Head of Religion was going to find this program openly biased and would have demanded changes, he knew he had a Pro-Israeli/Zionist agenda in mind from the start, and that is why there was no way he was going to consult a Muslim on anything. This programme was a blatant set up and attempt to inflame hatred agaisnt Muslims. Please take note of these concerns, Muslims demand to be consulted, there a nearly two million of us in this country, we will not allow ourselves to be endangered by such blantant religious hate and incitement. |
