| Asalaamu Alaikum ;-) Just like to share the fact that I became an uncle to twin nieces a few days back. ;-) Zainab and Haseenah are doing fine, not quite sure about their parents though. ;) Anyone else had twins out there? Any tips I should be passing on? ;-) |

And so soon... :D But it's all good. tips for parents of twins or very young siblings :::TEAMWORK::: The Daddy has got to do his bit... otherwise the Mammy gets very tired, frustrated and worn out physically and emotionally... I know one couple who have a daughter 15 months old and a son 2 months old. Alhamdulillah the father is very active and does a major share of the housework. remember it takes two to make a baby and it takes two to bring him up too :) |

| As-salaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah, Nope, I'm not a twin (or had twins), but Saadia is (my bro isn't on this board, come to think of it), so she may have some insight (although I realize it's prob parental experience you're looking for). Just came on to say this much, though: before having children, my mom had this thing about wanting twins (to get it all over with, I guess). So she made *lots* of du'aa. Although she didn't have twins the first time around, she did the second time around, subhan'Allah (the thing about twins happening in every other generation is a myth, it can happen in every generation or skip more than two generations. Allahu A'lim). Sorry, don't have any other advice, except that if there are other siblings, they'll probably become daddy's girls/boys during the twin trauma (not that I remember any of it, somehow got blocked out of my memory). :) |

| [slm] AAAhhhh, twins! Ok so I'm biased lol but twins are great! They will DEF. be a handful, I remember some of the antics my brother and i would get into (skittles up your nose anyone?) Insha'Allah they will be each other's best friends and not torture they're parents too much. I know my mom had it rough with the two of us and my sister was only a few years old at the time also. My mom said she had to cut her hair really short bc we were always grabbing it and messing with it lol. Dad is really gonna have to step up to the plate too! Insha'Allah they'll all be alright, I'll ask my mom for some tips later and how she got a routine down. From what she's told me in the past, that's the most important thing, getting a routine down and sticking with it. |
