| Asalaam Alakum Warahmatulahi wabarakatu, I was just reading the post by the brother that said in the last 20 posts, 15 of them were about marriage...hence the idea came to my mind...there are many single brothers and sisters on this board, and from the way they are talking, I can tell that some are interested in one another but are too shy to approach, or are not quiet sure how to approach them in the proper Islamic way. there are also many people who are interested in marriage but do not necessarily have someone in mind on the board. well, my idea was how about if we have one central person who is already married and is older who can help match make people. for example lets say sr. a is interested in getting married. she can email the central person and then they can look at their list of brothers who have also contacted them about being interested in getting married. then they can match people up. or sr. jannah can make a new page for marriage ads..................just a thought |

| [wlm] Well the thing is... how do we weed out people who are not serious or just freaks in general? The only way to do that is make it as real as possible.. when ppl put an ad they have to put a picture, all their info and have some references... or how about a secret singles underground section on the board :-/ |

But if someone is really cookin something in his/her mind then a better way would be to involve a wali and/or do some action rather than just moving along with these thoughts that may well be one sided ! | [wlm] I wonder what it will be like 10 years from now.. all us sleep deprived mothers logging in in the middle of the night and posting about diaper rash and the cute things our babies said today?? and all the harassed fathers asking for tips on sleeping 1 hour a night.. :) and maybe when we're all in our 90s we'll be posting about our great grand children and their shenanigans and those newfangled hovercraft ;) ahh here's looking to the future inshallah [] |

[/quote] In fact I'm surprised that this hasn't happend to date, I mean the crowd is already growing that form the married bros and sisters and the ones with the little ones. Thers Ummwafi, Bro Khalid, Azizah,Kathy, Halima, Abu Hamza,Mike and there are already ones who are married like Mystic and others. Consider a new thread for us Jannah and we veterans may be able to teach you newbies a thing or too. Salaams Hanif p.s. As for nappy rash apply some vaseline to the infected areas and don't tie the nappy straight away. If the rash is a deep red go see a doc. |
