| [slm] ;-) In some languages like urdu, french and arabic things are either masculine or feminine. Potato is "alloo" in urdu which is masculine. In english there is no such issue. |

| [slm] well I speak "british" english and I can safely say I have never met anyone in my entire life who has pronounced potatoe puh-ta-toe. Everyone says puh-tay-to - hence the name of my beloved crisps (chips for the Yanks) which are called "Tayto" Welcome to the board potato - have a nice time Insha Allah :) As for tomato - now there we say toe-Ma-toe and only the crazy Yanks go around saying toe-May-toe ::) |

Anything potatoes at any time. Baked potatoes, raw potatoes, french fries, potato soup, potato wedges, and potato whatever. Still love it, but no longer crave it. Anywhoooo, welcome and enjoy.
