| [slm] ;-) I do not know the answer but I know that knowing the answer is not enough for you must believe in it, and believing in it is not enough for you must act on it, and acting on it is not enough for you will need the winds of Allah's special favor, and having the winds of Allah's special favors is not enough for you must not be content with that, and not being content with that is not enough for you must sacrifice, and sacrifice is not enough for there is nothing of any worth to sacrifice.... | [slm] Akhi, it is ISLAM that gives us these wings, so to speak.....when we know the Truth pertaining to our creation, our Creator and our life in this world and the next.....we exist on another level simply because we believe. This whole other level allows us to live our lives in a totally different perspective compared to those who have not yet come across the Truth....it is then our duty to give others the chance to experience this sense of "flying" and enable them to have wings ;D Allah a'lam.....this is my humble opinion. May Allah swt guide us all on the Straight path, the path of those He has favored, not the path of those who earned His anger nor of those who went astray, Ameeen! [wlm] :-) |

| [slm] Another thought came to mind Br Nomi...while I was listening to a lecture by my favorite speaker (Imam Anwar al-Awlaki - btw his lectures can be found here: http://www.jimas.org/awlaki.htm - awesome I tell ya, mashaAllah) :) ...that thought being this......the Imam spoke of tawwakul (trust in Allah swt) and how birds leave the morning with an empty stomach, but return home in the evening satisfied and well fed. The same concept can be applied to the lives of man....for it is only when we put our full faith and trust in Allah swt...and like birds who go out and make the [u]effort[/u] to search for food, in the same way we must strive to achieve the good of this world. It is only when we strive and work towards our goals, that Allah swt makes it easy for us inshaAllah.....yani it is the striving that differentiates the crawlers as opposed to those with wings. Just a thought...... ;D [wlm] :-) |
