| [slm] Okay so I had this brainstorm.... Maybe we could have a creative writing challenge (we already know some of us are really talented...specific hint)... ...Give out various topics, and give a few days for people to come up with something....which could be judged by some UNBIASED individuals... ....sadly this is such bad timing...I won't be around for the month of August...but should you decide to take it on....it would be great fun to read. Wasalaam. |

As for unbiased individuals, here's my list of very talented writers: Se7en, Maliha, and Jannah But if we're going to do something like this, I think the writing should be at a certain standard (perhaps a preliminary round, where poorly written material is tossed out), so only the talented writers remain. |

| [slm] That's a cool idea... I always thought it would be neat for Muslims to write science fiction. Like about Muslims in the future.. What about the 'contest' be about some Muslims doing Hajj in the future and what it's like...? BrKhalid can start compiling his 1000 roads to Makkah ;) I think it would be a deterrent to people if it was a 'contest'... but maybe we can say whoever participates get's a prize? |

| [slm] Howz about we do our very own Madina novel? You know....like for when we have to bribe our kids (since we're planning on growing old together) to read. Everyone who volunteers can write a chapter....round robin. The Hajj thing sounds cool...but I dunno...can't make it humorous then. Wasalaam. |
