| While the Europeans were deeply asleep in the Dark Ages, the Arab Muslims were awake and working hard in the advancement of knowledge, this the Europeans have forgotten and have distorted as a fact of history, but they are now confessing the TRUTH! Below is an excerpt of this fact from National Geographic Magazine of October 1999 in the Millennium Moments pages of the edition: "MODERN SCIENCE BEGINS DURING THE RENAISSANCE IN EUROPE, SPARKED BY ANCIENT TEXTS - EUCLID'S GEOMETRY, PTOLEMY'S GEOGRAPHY, GLENS'S MEDICINE - THAT WERE PRESERVED THROUGH THE DARK AGES BY ARAB SCHOLAR" &jbsp; |

| [slm] yes, we know that the Europe's Renaissance was due to the preservation & advancement of knowledge by Muslim scholars. but what have we done since then, & what are we doing today? how much of our money & effort goes into acquiring knowledge? do you know what the OIC stands for? we call it the "Oh! I see" this is what you hear at the OIC meetings. They listen to speeches, doze off, wake up & ask the one sitting next what is happening, he hasn't a clue either, so he mumbles something, & the first one says: "Oh! I see". this is today's Ummah: the kings, presidents, businessmen & professionals of which keep the money in the US & Europe. so, no investment in muslim societes. & education has been made so expensive, even the middle class has been squeezed out. btw: the money does not belong to them, it is looted money. what research is being conducted, funds allocated, & properly spent? in these matters we are not only sadly behind, but the distance keeps increasing. it boils down to power & politics. |
