| [slm] Been lurking a while, this is a great board masha Allah. :) I don't know if this was asked before (search function doesn't seem to work). Is whey protein halal and is there a particular brand that you prefer? Jazakum Allahu khairan. |

| [wlm] Depends upon what is your definition of halal. If you don't eat super market beef, chicken, etc, then whey might not be for you. Its preparation is similar to cheese, in which animal rennet is used as a catalyst (or something like that). Rennet source might be pig as well as cattle. You can call the support number on the packaging to confirm. Actually, it is always a good idea to call and confirm. |
