[slm] "does this mean that HE almighty will give me what ever i have asked 4 ........or doesthat mean HE will give me what is best 4 me" Well...When I went to Hajj, it is known that whatever you prayed for on the Prophet's Mtn then it will be answered. So of course, I asked for everything and anything. However, I asked the wrong way. Actually, it was more like demanding (according to my Imam), but I did it unintentionally. I was like "Ya Rubbi...I want this, this, this, and this before this, this, and that." You can't ask for a time frame. You ask for something and then you say, He knows best. Which is basically asking for His guidance and the rest will follow. Allahu Alim...Allah knows best. I think I got that right. Does that help? Ma-asalaama..... |

May Allah (swt) do what is best for you. Ameen all the best :) your sister |

[slm]
Well I think it is best to say/ask whatever you want then add 'if it is best for me and only YOU know best'
well I have a slightly diffrent opinion Since Allah swt mercies blessing are endless why limit your self Ask for something with Khair & AAfiyath (good) He can give you anything with khair & AAfiyath *********** Dua is the essense of worship. (Anas, May Allah be please with him related that the Prophet said this as reported in Tirmidhi). Supplications (Duas) of three persons are not refused: a fasting man when breaking the fast, a just ruler, and an oppressed person (It is reported by Abu Huraira as the Prophet's saying: Tirmidhi). No one makes a Dua without Allah giving him what he asks for, or keeping away from him a similar amount of evil, provided he does not ask for something sinful, or for breaking family ties (Jabir related this as the Prophet saying: Tirmidhi). Abu Huraira related that the Prophet said: Allah is angry with those who do not ask Him for anything (Tirmidhi). Book 035, Number 6595: (Muslim) Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The supplication of the servant is granted in case he does not supplicate for sin or for severing the ties of blood, or he does not become impatient. It was said: Allah's Messenger, what does:" If he does not grow impatient" imply? He said: That he should say like this: I supplicated and I supplicated but I did not find it being responded. and theu he becomes frustrated and abandons supplication. Book 035, Number 6477: MUSLIM Anas reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: When one of you makes supplication, he should supplicate with a will and should not say: O Allah, confer upon me if Thou likest, for there is none to coerce Allah. Book 035, Number 6478: MUSLIM Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: When one of you makes a supplication (to his Lord) one should not say: O Allah, grant me pardon, if Thou so likest, but one should beg one's (Lord) with a will and full devotion, for there is nothing so great in the eye of Allah which He cannot grant. Book 035, Number 6479: MUSLIM Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: None of you should say to Allah (like this): O Allah, grant me mercy, if thou so likest. The supplication (of his) should (be permeated with) conviction (that it would be accepted by the Lord), for Allah is the Doer of (everything) He likes to do, and there is none to force Him (to do or not to do this or that).
