| [slm] :-) our local mosque has recently purchased a secluded rec center that includes an outdoor swimming pool. i am desperate to go, as it's been AGES since i've been in the water, but i'm unsure of what to wear. i'm thinking a one-piece suit and t-shirt. by the way, sisters have 4 days, brothers have the other three, it's secluded (with trees) and there's a 10 foot high fence. [wlm] :-) |

| [slm] Hit the water girl! This is such a great idea - hope all our communities provide facilities as these so us women can enjoy ourselves. What I usually wear is a t shirt and a pair of tights-with a t shirt only ,it can lift up exposing your thighs etc. [wlm] :-) |

[wlm] Yeah i would suggest water proof/swimmable workout pants and a t-shirt :).. and some sisters i have seen wear workout pants and shorts on top of them!! :-* |

| [wlm] wow wish our mosque would buy a pool :-/ i'd recommend wearing a bathing suit, a t-shirt and some really light loose pants with elastic around the waist (w/out any buttons or zippers). that's usually what we wear when we get an opportunity at someone's house. |

| [slm] can we go over what a woman's awrah consists of again? i thought it was from navel to knees? if that's true, then if you were going to go swimming at a friend's house, would it be ok to wear shorts over your bathing suit, like w/out a t shirt over top? ......[i]wondering if i have to return the swimming wear i just bought........[/i] |

| [slm] Dont worry, you can wear shorts over your swimsuit as long as you get one of the longer lenght shorts which cover your knees.Happy swimming! [wlm] :-) |
