The beauty of dawnsong is truly beyond compare?

This morning, before words were spoken, I witnessed the slow unfolding of morning as a
flower. Its scent was at first indistinguishable in the general dampness, its movement
soft...then it permeated the world like a balm of healing and promise.

I sighed, tilted my face heavenwards, and returned for a moment to my child-self. And did
a rare thing. I smiled a pure smile, and discovering it was good, laughed in pleasure as
I remembered a time when things were simple, and good, and God smiled upon me. Before the
corruption came, before the ever-present pain of knowing I was never good enough for?

?What??

A cry indoors, shrill and annoyed. I returned to the world of care, overstuffed bellies
and hypocrisy, the smile on my face traveling into my spirit as I realized the precious
gift that Allah had just bestowed upon me ? the rediscovery of trust, that healing
ingredient for which the world cries out its mortal thirst.

Hasbunallahu wa ni?mal wakeel.

May we be among those who carry the light of this truth forth once more.

Wa jazakallahu kheiran for having the patience to read this, my madina family ;D Dis
