As-salaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah, Humorous? Brother, that's just sad. S.A.D. Anyhow, as a counterpoint, M. Al-Shareef noted that although there are waaay more sisters in Intro level Islaamic studies courses/lectures, there is a relatively higher proportion of males who actually complete their degrees in Islaamic studies (not sure which schools he was basing that on, or just overall). Sure, it's most likely due to family responsibilities, but it was basically meant as a motivation for more sisters to follow-through, since female scholarship in Islaam is lacking and almost non-existent today. An unfortunate set-back and unlike our predecessors, some of whom were female scholars and many of whom were students of female scholars.
