stuck in the mud?

Most of the islamic courses acquire an a-level grade or you have to be at least 18 to get
accepted  :( The fee of getting to do them is like really expensive too. Cause i'm going
colege i'll be getting  some money for attending Inshallah. So by the time i leave
college i should be able to afford an Islamic course. But because alot of the islamic courses
are abroad i would need a mahram. And then my problem is... i wouldn't have a mahram  :'(
So that makes me see that doing an islamic course is almost impossible.
Another thing is that in our culture the girls don't work when they're married, so i see
going to college and university totally useless. Going through allllll that education and
in the end not even working.
But then staying at home is useless too. So i'm left with going college, and possibly
university too.
any advice on what i should do please?
what are your opinions?
also please remember me in your duaas!
jazakallah khairan

wa alaikum asalam warahmatullah
p.s i'm not stuck in the mud but like stuck in what i should do, also sorry if i may have
mislead you in reading this post.

[slm] sis.........

I hear you........but you should know that your culture should not be the prevention for you to go to college............we have ONE culture and that is the islamic culture! To understand this Allah (SWT) has made a fard for us to seek knowledge and we will be called account for not seeking all the knowledge we could! But its important that we dont seek knowledge for personal gain only but to carry it on to the Ummah in any way possible! If we dont pass it on...........

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al' As:

I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Allah does not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from (the hearts of) the people, but takes it away by the death of the religious learned men till when none of the (religious learned men) remains, people will take as their leaders ignorant persons who when consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray."

please honey you should seek all the knowledge you can, and who will keep you from working?your future husband? if so make sure when that time comes that you make it clear to him that you dont wish to stay at home!It is your islamic right to do that.......
If he cant accept that he cant accept you, your dreams,hopes,thoughts,goals....etc.....What kind of husband is not willig to stand by and encourage his wife in all matters?
Islam has no prohibition against women working as long as the house is taking care of!

Im studying medicine and have 6 years to finish and i dare some one to tell me im not going to work as a doctor! I just cant stay at home and do nothing it would really kill me.........im striving to get as many rewards as possible how many can you get by staying at home?My work and knowledge is my Daawa, charity, good deeds to other people!

I guess my advice for you is to follow your wishes and not someone elses!
In the end only YOU will be answering for you on the day of Qiyama, without knowledge you wont be able to answer Allahs questions.

Iqra/ bi-ismi rabbika allathee khalaqa .......(quran)

Narrated Abu Mas'ud:

The Prophet said, 'One of the sayings of the early Prophets which the people have got is: If you don't feel ashamed do whatever you like."

Your sister...........hope i shed some light inchallah.

PS:..........it is permitted for women to travel alone IF the journey is less than 24 hours and the destination is well-known and that your safety is in the hands of muslims.

Well Sister I don't know where do you belong from what I know Islamic education is almost free all over the world. (I am not sure about US and Europe) In Pakistan there are Islamic trusts which provide free education and boarding. Alas usually the children with disabilities or who can't afford other type of education are sent there. In gulf most of the mosques arrange Arabic, Tajweed, Tafseer etc classes free of charge even they provide books, copies, pencils and pens. But still they hardly find students for the classes. If you go to Imam sahib and ask about such classes he would advise you to bring 8-10 persons what ever minimum number of students are required to start a class.

I think you'd better try to find some Islamic centre near to your location they might be able to guide you better. If you are in US then Jannah and Bhallo are the best people to get the right information.
