Hey Guys: I am planning an 8 person dinner party with a Middle Eastern theme, and am hoping to cook Saudi-style food. It needs to be relatively simple as my cooking skills are good but not really experienced at cooking for so many people. Any suggestions on food, music, nice touches? I took my menu from a Saudi cookbook I brought back from the Kingdom. This is what I am thinking about for the menu: Bukhari rice with lamb (basmati?) flat bread (fresh made) labnah fatooush dates with sesame seeds Arabic coffee Any comments or suggestions of better, more traditional fare are welcome!! Appetizers? (also maybe a cool drink?) Thanks!! Peace, Sparrow |

Not sure what Bukhari rice is, is it the same as Kabsah? You *have* to have those dried limes in it! And I know what drink you should offer. Bebzi, of course!!! :-) [] [] [] [] |

Hello Sparrow, Check the following website. http://www.ummah.net/family/recipes.html It has all the recipes you are interested in. Note that Bukhari rice is the same as Saudi Rice. Also labnah is the same as labni (thick yougurt). Take care |
