| [wlm] brkhalid i think it's just custom over time or something... in syria they drop the q's !! so like daqeeqah - a minute turns into da'eeya!! search terms are from the referer logs on the webserver |

| [slm] same thing in parts of Bangladesh, where 'Z' & 'J' are often mixed up or in Punjab, where they repkace the sound of the hard 'Q' with the soft 'k' must be more. as to why, no idea |

| [slm] In Egypt, they also usually drop the qaaf and replace it with an alif. Example, qalam is alam. Baqlawa is ba'lawa. Except in the south, they replace the qaaf with the "g" sound. |
