Repeating prayers if there is a spot of blood

It was said: "Prayers must be repeated if there is a spot of blood the size of a dirham (coin).

This hadith was recorded by ad-Daraqutni in his Sunan and by al-Baihaqi.

ad-Daraqutni said regarding its chain of narration, 'No one relates it from az-Zuhri except Rooh ibn Ghateef and he is abandoned in hadith' i.e. it is false

Ibn Adi said that he was told by Yahya ad-Dahl that he fears that it is fabricated.

Al-Uqaili wrote it in his book 'Ad-Duafa' saying that Bukhari said it was false.

Ibn al-Jawzi also narrated it in his book of fabricated hadith.

As-Suyuti says that it was fabricated.

Ibn Hibban said that the hadith was fabricated, and that Prophet Muhammad did not say this, rather it was invented by the people of Koofah. Rooh ibn Ghateef used to relate fabricated hadith from reliable narrators.

Another wording for this hadith is, "If there is a spot of blood the size of a dirham on the clothing, the garment must be washed and the prayer repeated"

This is fabricated becayse one of its chain of narrators Nooh ibn Abu Maryam is impugned by the scholars.

Ibn al-Jawzi, az-Zaili and as-Suyuti said that Nooh was a liar.

The companions used to pray even when wounded, as recorded by Bukhari. Umar ibn al-Khattab made prayers while blood was flowing from him, and Abad ibn Bishr was hit by an arrow while praying, but continued his prayers.
