My Bewilderment....

Forgive me please in advance. This is truly a terrible/disgraceful topic to even discuss. Yet you
are all so helpful & knowldegable in your own rights so I've decided to ask you all if you may assist me.

Please disregard my ignorance here in asking. But I have a concern I have not delved into before.
Yet having heard something bothering recently, I then wanted to at least learn from the lesson.
I heard a fellow Muslim (excuse me please Allah) Damned Allah(swt) directly. Literally say that to someone. *** Allah, ***Allah.

Does just the fact they professed to be Muslim make them Muslim? Or would such a slip of the tongue
(if that be the case) take them out of the fold of Islam whether they believed it did or not?

Now I am so taken back by the issue. I've seen so much in life that I'm not sure why I'd be taken back. But
when something doesn't settle with me. What I try to do is just learn from the witness of the event.

So my dear brothers & sisters that is what I am asking for. To learn from the issue.... Insha Allah.

I guess this individual was heated & upset & as a result of the anger, I suppose from being
out of control of their behavior. Uttered the damning. Yet, this is a professed Muslim.

I don't think I would utter anything to one who said something like this. Yet is there an obligation
to express something for the sake of Allah(swt) or to take any kind of action on the part of the one
the words were uttered to.

Just pondering, the incident takes me away. How can someone profess to be Muslim & then express
this then return to salat even in repentance & who has power over Allah (swt) that would
carry out the utterance anyway. So, I'm lead to believe the words were just flying with no
intentional meaning behind them...... However Allahu Alam.

& then on the context. If we utter a curse of the tongue, without any intension of what we ment
from the heart. Would we still be accountable for the mere utterance of it? Well, I would believe so.
But is someone who would do this considered to have a sickness they are unable to control?
It made me think. What is that, never in my life? I was kind of shocked.

Get angry, get mad, lose all control, but what is worse than that? Or maybe it's not the worst?

Okay, I apologize, this is kind of off for my kind of posts, but I do pray you all may offer some
Good points to assist me to learn from the words that burnt my ears so bad... Insha Allah.

I am breathless to know. Do we pray for someone who does something like this? Are we condemned from
praying for someone who would do this? It's not like any other kind of sin, so how would you
handle it?

I don't know, so what does Islam say concerning this whole bewilderment that I fell into?

Well, I am sure you may be able to provide a lot of my answers without giving you a list a mile long of
contemplation so I'll stop there. Yet, I thank-you in advance. A heartfelt Jazak Allahu Khairan too
all for your assistance.

Dear Sister....

Huh?  Am not understanding what the issue is.  Is it someone who curses alot and you feel bewildered about it?

If so, the cursing is not a sickness and can be controlled by that person.  If s/he prays then s/he must know how to make dhikr.  Have him/her do that instead of cursing.  Easy for you to say probably not for him/her to change.  But all those words are haram to say and if s/he fears Allah (SWT) then s/he should change his/her ways.

It will take time, but s/he have to.  You can make du'a for that person cause you care for that person.  S/he represents Islam and should represent it well and proudly.

Allahu Alim....

I hope that helps.  If I'm off base, forgive me.

Ma-asalaama....

Smile…… Jazak Allahu Khairan Sister Trustworthy….

<<forgive my time laps in responding here…I am now all moved & set up..Alhamdu lillah>>

It’s not a nice topic to bring back up to the forefront again…. But I did however feel compelled to offer my gratitude for the assistance here & with the IM’s. Indeed I believe the issue is a sincerely important one to be considered… May Allah(swt) protect us all. & I cannot offer enough appreciation for the assistance. The best I may do is my sincere prayers to Allah (swt) for the kindness & support.
Huh?  Am not understanding what the issue is.  Is it someone who curses alot and you feel bewildered about it?
Actually, My concern Sister came about when hearing a fellow professed Muslim curse Allah(swt) himself, curse Allah(swt) directly.  Surely truth stands out clear from error & so therefore there should be no real need for contemplation on such an issue.

Yet this is one of those inspired moments that seemed to hit my mood of contemplation. I guess I am thankful for that because some good information on the subject did transpire…. Subhan Allah.

Honestly Sister Trustworthy your reference to cursing in general let me think a little bit more on the topic as well & most likely this person was weak in other areas such as general cursing & other violations of faith before progressing to easily uttering such a thing. May Allah (swt) assist us all. I myself am not always so clear with my words & that was evident in this post. Yet you still assisted.  I do thank-you so very much.

Much Appreciation & thanks to all of the Madina Siblings. Your knowledge & support on this site is truly wonderful…. Subhan Allah.

A Heartfelt Jazak Allahu Khairan to All
