| [slm] So, tell me, what are those pesky media buzzowrds you hate with a vengeance? Everytime to hear 'em you wish you had a gun to shoot the TV screen with, or wish the news was under own personal censorship :D My vote goes to 'moderate Muslims'. I [i] hate[/i] that word with a loathing that is deeply ingrained in the fabric of my very soul. Why? It makes any normal Muslim become transformed into an Uncle Tomming apologist; "Yessir, massa bawss man, we 'moderate' muslims ah different from the res' of thum there rascals, suh. (My [i]Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry[/i] accent :D) So, spill, which words of phrases make you want to strangle that irritating reporter? :) ma asalaamah and take care |

| [slm] wow...that irritates me too! Mine is more directly related to me. When speaking at churches or the Masjid, inevitably people will ask me what the "real" Muslims think... like...because I am an American I am not one of them real Muslims... :P |

| [slm] good question... i get so annoyed at the word "terrorist" its always pronounced over and over in the news and gets on my nerve!! thats why i stopped watching news. also i just can't stand when they be saying things about Muslim such way that other viewer would think that they know it all... ma salaama |

| how about the term anti-choice. Pro life people are for choice but the choice should be made before getting pregnant. pro choice really means it is ok to kill your baby. |

| Mike, to answer your question, me personally, i just use two... 1] Uncle Sam (for warlord presidents of US) 2] Chickens with big guns (4 soldiers) But i dont have anything against public of US or Europe as many of them are peace loving people. [i]Two friends of mine flew to Houston a month back to pursue their MS in Software Engineering, one of them already completed a semester there and was telling me (when he was here on a break) how peaceful ppl were around him, but my friends from uni who went to Australia have quite a different story to tell! and thats another topic for another time.[/i] Apart from that i'm told/taught/reminded by scholars around me not to mock people from other religions/nations as they might convert to islaam and become many folds good a people than us (when it comes to relgious practices) and who knows our mocking them might take us away from islam and its practices, which'll be a big loss!
