| al salaamu alakum, I received in my email today something about a Muslim singles gathering in D.C. from this organization called http:/www.muslimgatherings.com I am not sure how to view it. One way it looks like a great and Islamic way to meet Muslims who are also looking to get married and you know its a safe environment, but on the other hand, what if everyone there is like so much better than me? would you go? why or why not? |

| [slm] Provided that the organisers are taking steps to ensure that the environment is really Islamic, and everyone present observes proper Adaab (etiquettes), I think its a good step towards helping the singles in our community find a spouse. Yes, I would probably go. And don't worry about everyone being better than you. Just be yourself and leave the rest to Allah Ta'ala. He will guide you through, Inshallah. [slm] :-) |
